Injury Designations - Commissioner can customize IR eligible injury designations
This setting would give the commissioner the power to change what injury designations are eligible for IR. For example, the commissioner could elect to only allow players with the IR designation into IR roster slots. They could also allow players with D (doubtful) to be IR eligible.
Commissioners would be able to toggle the following designations as IR eligible;
P - Probable
Q - Questionable
D - Doubtful
O - Out
IR - Injured reserve
SUSP - Suspended
NA - Not active
COVID-19 - COVID-19
Currently commissioners can't toggle what designations are IR eligible. O (out), COVID-19 and IR (injured reserve) are the only designations that are IR eligible.

With the potential to suspend the Steelers / Titans game, I think any player on either team should be designated as on IR for that week. Most people plan there rosters for the bye weeks and an expected bye due to covid, puts people at a disadvantage. By designating the players as IR for that week, teams can then add a player to help with the unexpected team not playing.

Just create more IR spots in each league to accommodate. Putting players on IR helps us retain them while on the other side making it a "BYE" week screws everything up. I know have to drop some players I don't want to so that I have a QB this week.

When a league has IR roster spots, why does Yahoo! allow players listed as "out" to be put in the IR roster spot? That's not necessarily fair because then managers can just stash free agents. Many leagues added IR roster spots in case of COVID outbreaks. Now those IR roster spots are being used for players who miss just one or two games with regular football injuries. I think only players who test positive for COVID or players who actually are on real-life Injured Reserve should be eligible for the IR roster spot.

IR customization is a must! Let the commish have the ability to determine who can go on IR. For our league, not being able to put doubtful players on IR hurts the ability to pick someone up on waivers to play when you know they will be out. Would just be good if commish could decide which designations can go on IR.

We are going from an 8-team league to a 5-team league, as commish how do I eliminate 3 teams and retain the 5? Bill Peruzzi billperuz@aol.com

Ryquell Armstead currently has a "COVID-19" designation on Yahoo and I've successfully added him to an IR slot. Thanks Yahoo for your transparency, doing whatever you did (or didn't do) without breathing a single word about it so commissioners could prepare.

Do it!

This should be a separate designation, as our league does not utilize injured reserve and we only want specifically COVID players to be added, not injured players.
-

This should be made available to cover not only covid positive players but all players who are lost that week to a covid-postponed game (if it were to happen, like baseball has)

This was posted almost TWO MONTHS AGO and still nothing has come of it? Sleeper, NFL, Fleaflicker, and ESPN... some of Yahoo's biggest competitors have this, yet still no change yet. For Dynasty, this is key, and I'm astonished nothing has come of it.
Our league is in talks of moving unless this gets fixed so hopefully this comes soon.

This is Key, being able to set up a Reserve/Covid specific spot for re-draft leagues will be a massive win this year. Being able to manage/customize the IR spot so as to only include players with this designation will be needed this year.
NFL.com and flea flicker fantasy sites already allow for this. -

This is a must have. ESPN allows COVID players to be moved to the IR spot. Y! is going to lose a lot of players if they don’t implement. This is critical for Dynasty. Forcing a Dynasty owner to waste a roster spot on a player (e.g., Damien Williams) that opted out is ridiculous. Get er done!

Needs to happen and soon. Other sites much more proactive. We'll be moving to different site. Happening already in baseball with players. Football will be the same, following same sort of model. Can't have 3,4,5 players out because of Covid.

Something so simple as making them IR eligible should not require Corporate approval nor 15 board meetings. Let's get it done and done fast.

DO IT !!!!!

Just add a IR slot that is only for covid-19 positive players. Its simple and should not take much to add that in.

I disagree. If someone is Out or IR its basically the same thing for that week. Plus many out happen last minute. You shouldn't have to drop someone because of that if it happen late sunday or Monday...especially if they are a good player.
-

I disagree with this one. It is one of the things I don't like about nfl.com. You could end up having to cut players due to multiple injuries.

Please instead of just an IR spot available. This year put a Covid 19 spot so when a player gets Covid, they can put them on that roster spot only for a limited time. That way players don't get screwed for having a player come down with Covid 19 when they have players on bye and have to drop top players that week.

I believe yahoo should expand the IR designation qualification for players to include all Covid-19 related issues in case players are affected by the virus, INCLUDING players sitting out due to Covid-19 fears. This will help alleviate some stresses and hardships some team managers may face when trying to navigate through these times. It would be unfair to drop a 1st or 2nd round pick that is sitting out due to Covid-19 fears and that same player announces his comeback and that manager’s waiver priority limits him/her from adding that player back when they could have designated him to an IR spot with a Covid-19 designation. Think this will be major for leagues going forward as a lot of people are skeptical about even having a league this year with news like this floating around. It also helps with the players that may catch Covid-19 during the season and need to quarantine, we can easily move them to an IR spot with that designation and hit the waivers.
