Waiver - Allow commissioner to use continuous waivers with custom free agent periods

This waiver setting would allow the commissioner to use 'Continuous' waivers but also be able to select days that all players are free agents. For example, the league uses continuous waivers (players always on waivers) and the waivers process each night but on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays all players will be free agents and be eligible to be picked up in the event a team needs a substitute.

    Yes please something like this, or at least where preseason is continuous waivers and then it shifts to gametime-tues before the reg season without having to using commish access to change the rules.

    Already this preseason there has been josh gordon news and last year adrian peterson. Need a system so its not first come first serve on these but can do gameday add drops as well

    For waivers, I would add a pre-determined option setting that all players come off waivers one hour before kickoff of first weekend game. This can eliminate gamesmanship in leagues where teams pick up and drop players in the same week they have no intention of keeping to block other people from picking up those players.

    The options for waivers are very limited, either running Tuesday PM or players always stay on waivers (continuous). We'd like to run waivers on multiple days, but still enable "free for all" on game day so owners aren't stuck waiting for waivers.

    If we could get the above change, that would be awesome. Beyond that, I believe it should be built in that, on a day that a player has a game, they are removed from waivers. This allows owners to make moves on Thursday night prior to the game if needed, while the players not in the game are still on waivers.

    Our league ended up just manually implementing this idea and it has worked great, although obviously it would be better if Yahoo just offered it as a default option.

    On Wednesdays at Noon, the commissioner manually sets the waiver rule as "Continuous" (all players are always on waivers and they process Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) until Sunday at 9:00 AM, at which time the commissioner manually changes the waiver rule to "Game Time-Tuesday" and all players become free agents until their game starts. This has allowed flexibility to still make last minute roster moves on Sunday mornings, but also doesn't give an unfair advantage during the week when some people aren't as able to hear breaking fantasy news as quickly as others and they lose out on adding important players and others get them for free.

    Continuous waivers that are processed at noon everyday would easily solve this problem. Seems like an easy fix. ESPN has this feature, not sure why yahoo doesn’t. My league switched to espn after using yahoo for 18 years because of this one difference. Yahoo would be our preferred choice if this were to change.

    Please Add. Continuous waivers would be perfect if game day free agency (Sunday) could be added post waiver processing that day

    Yes, please get this figured out. So, essentially the continuous waivers would end Sunday morning and allow for free-reign in pickups/drops until they go back on waivers at game time.

    Give us the option to have continuous waivers except from 4:00 AM Sunday (when waivers process overnight) until game-time. This allows people to make last-minute roster moves when players are unexpectedly ruled out on gameday.

    Waiver periods make it fair so everyone has a chance to bid on a new free agent. However, the normal waivers process on Wednesday morning after the Sun/Mon games. Even if I put the minimal waiver time (1 day), it won't unlock those dropped players until AFTER the Thursday games. It seems pretty ridiculous that a player that is dropped in the wee hours of Wednesday morning couldn't be picked up until the following week simply because they play on Thursday. For example: NYJ defense dropped during normal waivers (Wed a.m.). NYJ play Thursday against Browns. NYJ defense not available until NEXT WEDNESDAY. That is stupid.

    All players on waivers should process to free agents at a set time the NEXT DAY if your waiver period is 1 day. Say like 9a CST to give everyone ample time to check.

    Allow the option of a defined free agent period in continuous waivers. This would allow commissioners to set a free agent period on Sunday mornings and prior to MNF kickoff to guard against late injury scratches.

    I like this and would also be open to have customize on when your league would process waiver claims. Say every morning at 9am.

    People please vote for this, just makes sense to have that option and in my opinion that's the best choice for the free agency process (again other sites have already figured this out).

    Currently the waiver wire process requires a choice, we can either run the FAAB process every night and not allow pickups on Sundays before the games, or we can run FAAB once a week but have pickups in a free-for-all format throuhgout the entire week.
    My league (and assume most others) would like an option to run FAAB every night and have add/drops on Sunday morning in case of injury announcements. CBS and many other websites have already implemented this. Yahoo has the best overall interface out there but my league may have to switch if the waiver rules remain in their archaic state. Please please please get this done Yahoo.
