On the note that I just posted, I should have mentioned the many wastes of space such as Brandon's Big Board and the Top 10 Players on some "expert's" ranking and Toyota's Biggest Blowout.
And, in the past, we could easily find a link to edit a team's info on the drop-down menu for "My Team" instead of having to hunt around for little gears and checkmarks to click on.
Thanks so much, Yahoo, for being artsy. -

The new design may be artsy, but it just ain't functional. It has destroyed the ability to easily post smack talk or read smack talk. It has cut the corners off of team logos, which makes some of them look goofy. It has made it nearly impossible to find the score of every team for a specific week in "total-points" leagues. It has given us expanding ads which keep pages from becoming readable for much too long. It has buried the Commissioner’s Note at the bottom of the page. It inflicts us with last week's injury designations through most of the following week. It has given us pages that frequently don't fit on the screen. It hides the info that we want to read under a notification of some stupid medal that we don't care about. It has increased the difficulty of finding the stats on players who perform multiple functions, such as a WR who sometimes carries the ball on end-around plays or an RB whose primary value is as a kick returner.
And, you know, if I thought about it a little longer, I bet I'd remember some more things that it has done to reduce the fun of Fantasy Football.
But, the one thing that I most dislike is how difficult it has been to get Yahoo to listen to my complaints about the new format. It seems as though the Yahoo people want to defend their new format rather than improve it to the point that it can become a good gaming experience again. -

I disagree. I don't like it that we lost the ability to easily post smack talk. I don't like it that our team logos are now rounded off instead of square. I don't like it that we cannot easily find the score of every team for a specific week in "total-points" leagues. I don't like having to wait for a page to stabilize (because of expanding ads) before I can read it or click on links to a player or other info. I don't like the Commissioner’s note being hidden near the bottom of the page. I don't like seeing last week's injury designations when I'm trying to set my roster for this week. I don't like how the page view so often doesn't fit my computer screen. I don't like how the notification of a medal covers the info that I want to see. I don't like how difficult it is to find the stats on players who perform multiple functions, such as a WR who sometimes carries the ball on an end-around play or an RB whose primary value is as a kick returner.
And, you know, if I thought about it a little longer, I bet I'd remember some more things I don't like about the new format.
But, the one thing that I most dislike is how difficult it has been to get Yahoo to listen to my complaints about this year's format. -

I think "just did In" must mean that you made it sluggish and difficult to use, with new features that are hard to find and with the most useful old features eliminated.

I agree. Those who are happy with the new format are "contempt."

Does "just did In" mean that you killed it?
If only that were true ... -

Justin, I think you are correct. Those who are happy with the new format are "contempt." Nice English.

I couldn't agree more. A wise man once said the empty dump truck makes the most noise.

Is Derek the guy who created the new format?
I don't know anyone who likes it. -

Derek is the ONLY person who likes the new layout.

No, actually, the new format sucks.
Please allow me to use the old black-on-white format. -

The new Yahoo! sports fantasy football league layout is awesome! I love it, the only thing that I think would complete this is if you guys introduced a league message board that was its own section (i.e. in a header like the "my team" header).
This page would consist of a place where people could post personal videos to the rest of the league, similar to what happens in the show "The league" featured on FX. The video messages would show up as an embedded video in the chat box and everyone else would be allowed to comment in the chat room above and below it in a normal chat.
If you don't want to do this on its own page you could include it in the match-ups section where it is not specific to each individual matchup but rather to the entire league for that week and each week would be separate from the next. So you could go back and see what people posted the previous week and comment if you wish but a clean board would show up when you click on the current week's match-up homepage. With this format you would almost want to have the set-up be in terms of a scoreboard and the smack talk chat room below it so that you could click on the "box score" link and it would bring you to that specific match-up.
Hopefully I explained this in enough detail you would have any further questions feel free to email me, I really think this would put your site over the edge and make it the leading fantasy football site.
