Due to shortcomings of other areas of the Yahoo platform (roster size limitations and number of keepers), leagues frequently use the message board to conduct offline business to create true dynasty leagues. A number of leagues post their rules on the message board, discuss changes for future years there, and actually conduct drafts and keepers beyond the limit of 30 (including minor league players which fit in the NA category). Eliminating this as an option makes Yahoo's platform no better than ESPN's, and substandard compared to Fantrax which offers deeper rosters and more robust drafting options that reduce the need for message boards.
And at least those other platforms still have the message board option. You've reduced the ability to communicate, which is one of the fun parts about fantasy sports. This was a terrible decision, and I recommend you reinstate message boards immediately.

For those who don't know yet: it looks like the message boards will be gone in 23/24 because the contract with the provider expires. Indeed, Baseball 2023 is already without message board.
Yahoo, please find a way to renew the contract with the message board provider or find a new one. Especially for leagues with concepts that need to keep track of trades, prospect farms, offline drafts, player swaps, protections lists etc etc, this would be devastating. The league chat is garbage, it's not a replacement.

Please allow tables or images. Every year I put together a table that gives the probability of each team finishing in different positions, it's not really possible to update the league through the message board week by week with updates.

Image sharing/file sharing in the Android app is not implemented properly. Most apps allow you to browse files. Fantasy does not, it seems to only look in the camera app and in unedited screenshots, and then offers those limited files only in reverse chronological order.
If you're not going to allow manual file browsing, at least have the app look in more folders than just camera and unedited screenshots.
If you edit/crop a screenshot, the image is not offered. If you download an image from twitter, web browser, other app, not offered. Every messenger app I've ever used has this functionality except for yahoo. Please fix.

Can't even post images. Let alone a file if you want to share something to the league like a spreadsheet. How is this a thing in the year 2022?

Time for an update for team logos! The current helmet color schemes are great but it's time for additions! Maybe the ability to customize color combos (backgrounds-to-helmet).
Rest of the platform is great!

Include an option on individual FF league sites for commissioner to post a weekly "article", to include ability to insert GIFs, web links, etc. The league message board is simply not the same thing. Our previous league host (My Fantasy League) offered this and those articles were the league's foundation and glue. It kept owners interested and invested.

Add a feature that allows the commissioner to write a weekly article for the league with ability to add photos, gifs, etc. It's the glue that holds our league together.
Yahoo is superior to our old league host except for this feature -- the Yahoo message board sucks.

Anyone else have an issue with the ratings calculations this week? Last week I was 903. I won all three of my games. My new rating is 907 (+11) ????? Bad math.

Bring back the Smack Talk function/capability during weekly fantasy matchups for leagues to enhance the fun of the competition.

Yahoo took away this option 3-4 years ago... Please bring it back for all commishes in all leagues.
Players post threads that become irrelevant, threads that are spam for other leagues and basically clutter up the boardWHY WAS THIS OPTION EVEN REMOVED????

I hope you mean the chat feature and not the message board. GIFs in the app's chat from your device is not supported and it's simply one of the worst decisions the product team has made. The provided GIF search is like rated PG bc obviously no adults use your app. Know your audience or lose your audience. It's as simple as that.

Please allow Commissioner to delete posts on message board. Some folks are unruly and post messages that are uneeded or unwanted. It would be great to delete that

Same here. Had a league move away from yahoo because the league message board is so bad. Need to make it more prominent, make it easier to add links, add the ability to easily add gifs.

Same. My league has a weekly "Team Name Power Rankings" article that the commish writes. It's hilarious and he can't post pics there anymore so he didn't do it at all last year. Sort of a bummer. Espn let's you do it though?

I voted on a similar post, but this is lumped in, where the Boards need work on a technical level and an interface overhaul. Whether I'm on my phone or my work or home PC, I always need to resort to Basic Message Posting on my Message Boards. If you review my history, I began a newsletter this way, and at first attempted to stylize it with text of different sizes, fonts, and of course bold/italics/underlines. I no longer can successfully add pictures, links, animated gifs, and even stylized text is super difficult because nothing takes hold and I get frustrated and end up going back to Plain Text. It reflects on my efforts as a Commissioner. Is it me? My devices? My league? I've resorted to changing the format altogether and have started a PodCast, but I would return to writing if I could do it effectively. Last season, I broke 10,000 words altogether.
