It'll be OVER for the competition if Yahoo Fantasy gets on board with video smack talk. That's the NEW the should have went with. Not the format. Smh

The new format makes me want to quit Yahoo

I agree that a video message board would be a great addition...Make it happen.

You guys need to quit hating on Adam.
He probably didn't really like the changes any more than you did.
He probably wrote that BS to get the Yahoo guys to like him
and to actually read and consider his opinion
that the black background is the worst problem
with the 2013 re-do of what was once a really good gaming system. -

Derek, I really don't want to see a video of you in a Fantasy Football league.

Yep -- Leave it to an Arts guy/gal to know the truth,
"Those that are happy and actually like the new format won't be providing any feedback because they are, in fact, contempt."
.
I believe that one. They are "in fact, contempt."
.Please, Yahoo, don't be "contempt."
Please return to us the features that we miss from the old Fantasy Football. -

I want to expand on the message I posted here in Sept.
I mentioned "black-on-white" when describing the old format.
But much more is involved than just the color scheme.
Team logos have been rounded.
The message board is now inconvenient to use.
The commissioner's note is stuck way down scroll.
The emphasis seems to have been changed from inter-action with other players to x-ing out notices about stupid medals. -

Art doesn't have to "work." It just has to occupy a location.
Computer programs are supposed to "work."
Yahoo Fantasy Football still doesn't "work" so well as it did a couple of years ago. -

Yeah, maybe Yahoo will give us a medal if we return all of our medals.

I agree that Adam's predictions have proven to be false. I saw almost no messages posted by players this year.
Maybe they were there and I just didn't see them. If so, then the lay-out needs to be changed to make it easier to find them.
However, I really believe that the re-design pushed the comment section so far down the screen that players simply didn't notice that they are capable of posting comments. -

Hey Klondike, why would you care about having a fun experience changed to a frustrating experience, with the best features eliminated?
Just relax.
That stuff doesn't matter as long as you can receive a new medal each week.

Adam suggested that putting "the match ups front and center on the league page is stellar."
And, he predicted that it would "encourage smack talk and other league messaging."
Now that the season is over, we should be able to go back and document how well it worked. It didn't work. Smack talk and other messaging were almost nonexistent this year.
Of course, other issues may be involved, such as an over-riding hatred for the new design which may have re-directed the smack toward Yahoo instead of other players in the league. All I'm saying is that smack and messaging were way down this year. -

I also don't like the many wastes of space such as Brandon's Big Board and the Top 10 Players on some "expert's" ranking and Toyota's Biggest Blowout.
And, in the past, we could easily find a link to edit a team's info on the drop-down menu for "My Team" instead of having to hunt around for little gears and checkmarks to click on.
And, now that we are in Dec, thanks so much, Yahoo, for looking at Adam's suggestion that he posted back in Aug. -

On the note that I just posted, I should have mentioned the many wastes of space such as Brandon's Big Board and the Top 10 Players on some "expert's" ranking and Toyota's Biggest Blowout.
And, in the past, we could easily find a link to edit a team's info on the drop-down menu for "My Team" instead of having to hunt around for little gears and checkmarks to click on.
Thanks so much, Yahoo, for being artsy. -

The new design may be artsy, but it just ain't functional. It has destroyed the ability to easily post smack talk or read smack talk. It has cut the corners off of team logos, which makes some of them look goofy. It has made it nearly impossible to find the score of every team for a specific week in "total-points" leagues. It has given us expanding ads which keep pages from becoming readable for much too long. It has buried the Commissioner’s Note at the bottom of the page. It inflicts us with last week's injury designations through most of the following week. It has given us pages that frequently don't fit on the screen. It hides the info that we want to read under a notification of some stupid medal that we don't care about. It has increased the difficulty of finding the stats on players who perform multiple functions, such as a WR who sometimes carries the ball on end-around plays or an RB whose primary value is as a kick returner.
And, you know, if I thought about it a little longer, I bet I'd remember some more things that it has done to reduce the fun of Fantasy Football.
But, the one thing that I most dislike is how difficult it has been to get Yahoo to listen to my complaints about the new format. It seems as though the Yahoo people want to defend their new format rather than improve it to the point that it can become a good gaming experience again. -

I disagree. I don't like it that we lost the ability to easily post smack talk. I don't like it that our team logos are now rounded off instead of square. I don't like it that we cannot easily find the score of every team for a specific week in "total-points" leagues. I don't like having to wait for a page to stabilize (because of expanding ads) before I can read it or click on links to a player or other info. I don't like the Commissioner’s note being hidden near the bottom of the page. I don't like seeing last week's injury designations when I'm trying to set my roster for this week. I don't like how the page view so often doesn't fit my computer screen. I don't like how the notification of a medal covers the info that I want to see. I don't like how difficult it is to find the stats on players who perform multiple functions, such as a WR who sometimes carries the ball on an end-around play or an RB whose primary value is as a kick returner.
And, you know, if I thought about it a little longer, I bet I'd remember some more things I don't like about the new format.
But, the one thing that I most dislike is how difficult it has been to get Yahoo to listen to my complaints about this year's format. -

I think "just did In" must mean that you made it sluggish and difficult to use, with new features that are hard to find and with the most useful old features eliminated.

I agree. Those who are happy with the new format are "contempt."
