[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Fantasy league message boards are no longer available but you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. Moving forward, we're investing in Fantasy Chat as the place for league communication and urge you to check out some of the recent improvements we've made like adding threading and pinning with polls coming soon.
Check out the following post for additional improvements made to Fantasy Chat: https://bit.ly/3UQbvew

HOw the heck are we suppose to handle offline drafts? Draft picks were posted on the message board as well as letting the next team they were on the clock. How the heck is that going to work now? You changed back to legacy view before, do it again?

I hope that the person who came up with this ideal is just like the Message Board, removed from their position! The message board is a far better way to communicate things with everyone in the league. When someone posts a message, it is sent out by email. I did not get any notifications about a post to this Fantasy Chat. I guess I have to spend all day logged in and watching to see if someone posts to Fantasy Chat or do I need to be looking at my phone when I am at work?
I don't know how this is any type of improvement, when it does not allow for league wide communication with a single post. -

unnecessary change. chat is overly convoluted with the number of messages. we have used yahoo for over 15 years and will switch to espn. just bring them back.

Please bring back Message Boards. It is the way to document important info for our dynasty league. Things like offline or draft pick trades are documented, keepers, lottery info, and other things. The chat is great for, chat. But not historical info. The simplicity and clear format of the Yahoo Fantasy platform is why it is the best. Making it more modern or similar to other sites is not what is wanted. Thanks.

Like every other poster, I do not want the message board removed.
It's such a key piece of league communication.
If the users count for anything at all, this feature would and should remain. -

This removal of the message board is going to cause chaos in my leagues. The message board is where we traditionally have:
1) done our muster every season to make sure all managers returned.
2) Put ideas up for rule changes, hash out differences, and vote on changes.
3) Put up trade block candidates as most ppl don't use the "trade block".
4) Put the yearly reminder of rules, changes, draft order, etc.Losing this really hurts as a Commish. The extra time I will have to spend because of this is ridiculous. I am Commish of three leagues, and this is going to make things more difficult in EVERY one of them. If it wasn't such a monumental hassle I would be leaving.
WHY? WHY? WHY/ WHY? WHY?????????

We always reserved a TOPIC called ***POST YOUR KEEPERS HERE***, for managers to post the players they were going to save from the previous year's team. That way every other manager could see all saved players in one place while they were formulating their Draft strategy. I'm not happy that the message board has been eliminated.
We also used to use the survey function for various topics.

This was very important.
It was bad enough you stopped our ability to link images to the message board but now you have killed it off altogether, extremely disappointed and this may cause our league to move elsewhere. -

Eliminating the message board eliminates the ability to have coherent sustained communication within our league over a variety of subjects. A linear single chat box doesn't replace having topics and a board feature It just makes no sense for them to make this change.
As a league we're going to discuss switching platforms. Of course such discussion will be a lot more difficult now since Yahoo eliminated the ability to effectively communicate with each other.

Sleeper looks good, but seems to only be supported on mobile, and I don't want that. Probably ESPN is best place to go for football.

Yahoo seems to be getting out of the fantasy business, or at least having that effect. Does anyone know how Fantrax works for football? Seems to do well for all my former Yahoo fantasy baseball teams.

The message board is a critical feature and the chatbox just isn't cutting it. Please bring back the message board.

Without the chat board we may be moving all our leagues to a different platform We honestly can't understand why you would remove this simple feature. The chat board is useless we already have a group chat on with the league, The message board was for things to be posted like trades and pinned comments. Really stupid move on your part.

Yahoo removed the message board for baseball and added this thread so people can vent. They ignored thousands and thousands of complaints similar to those on this thread. This thread exists only as a courtesy to pretend they will listen to our feedback. ****, this topic is only the 38th most popular topic so there is literally no chance of them listening or reverting back.
I had hoped they would listen to all the negative feedback during baseball season but here we are and no change. Approach this season accordingly.

I was on the fence about possibly moving all my dynasty leagues from yahoo to sleeper. Removing the message boards made my decision easier. This downgrade was a horrible idea

I like the messenger changes, but the boards could stay back. My dad doesn't use the app and technology can be hard for him.

Please don't remove message board

Removing the message board is NOT an upgrade. They were so much better to post things that need to stay in easy view. The chat box is not convenient. Plus there is still a "Medal" rewarded for posting a message on the message board, which is non-existant. HOW STUPID IS THAT!!!

Bring back the message board. This is where we keep all of our information for keeper league: the rules, draft order, players kept, the round they are kept, etc. Using the commissioner's note and chat does not work the same way and makes it way more difficult to sort through.

With all due respect, doing away with the message boards is the biggest mistake that you have ever made in the 20 plus years that I have been doing Fantasy Sports on Yahoo. Try doing an offline draft in the chat box and you will understand! The "chat box" is evil!
