[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Fantasy league message boards are no longer available but you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. Moving forward, we're investing in Fantasy Chat as the place for league communication and urge you to check out some of the recent improvements we've made like adding threading and pinning with polls coming soon.

We get it, you like the Chat.....so improve it.
I just posted a reminder in our Keeper's chat about a post I made three weeks ago about Keeper's Deadline, but no one will see the reply because it's lost in three weeks of threads. So basically I am requesting when someone replies, that the thread is moved to the first location everyone sees when they open chat. Otherwise the replies don't get seen. You know what would be even better? A message board. -

I for one have been a commissioner for 15 years. I’m seriously considering moving my league to another app. A few years ago the video posting on chat was removed. This year message board was removed, which I used to post week to week reactions and bold predictions for the league to consume and engage in. And now the new chat doesn’t allow me to post photos from my camera roll and I can’t even use their gif feature. What’s the point of a new and improved chat if nothing works?!

I really should be out of control and they want. The Messenger board turn on Fantasy football. We do a lot of talking back-and-forth. We enjoy our Messenger board for the last 2 weeks. It's been very boring. Our commissioner should be able to decide if the Messenger board has been misuse.

New message chat in Fantasy leagues sucks. Why mess with stuff that works fine? The new system flawed , try making a poll just to see how it works and dont know how too. Tried looking it up couldn't find how too. Please bring back old chat systems .

I agree with Grey 100% and everyone else who has chimed in supporting the desire to reinstate the message board. If users are suggesting using another app to help with communication, you're R&D team is failing pretty bad. Fix it, please. Obviously the code already exits, just copy/paste that **** back in. Do that and this issue is resolved. It's a Win Win...

@Dacat, there shouldn't be a need to download another app to simply communicate within the league. The message board provided everything the league needed when it comes to communication. Most, if not all, of our managers would not be interested in having to rely on another source to give us what the yahoo platform already have the capabilities in doing. Posting .gif's is quite low on our wish list.

I set up a group foir each of my Yahoo leagues on Whatsapp. It's been great. You can DM anyone to discuss trades or message the group. Excellent for commish. You've just got to get everyone on whatsapp. Plus, you can play with gifs all you want unlike yahoo.

BRING THE MESSAGE BOARDS BACK!

Everyone in our league is disappointed in the decision to get rid of the message board, even those managers who don't post a lot. It allows the league to communicate with one another without having to check their phones for text alerts or email. We post weekly tid bits, enthusiastic discussions, odd stats based on our own league history and are able to easily schedule get togethers during the season. We do not want to take our league to another platform but will have to consider it if those in decision making positions choose to stick with this new format.

Message Boards!!!!
Yahoo you seriously need to bring back the message boards for all leagues. Instead of improving the experience you are making it worse. Bring back ASAP!!!!!! Before hockey season starts!!!! -

Bring back the message board! It's used to post stats, weekly updates, etc. Why was it even removed in the first place?

Terrible decision to do away with the message board feature. We've had our league on Yahoo for 16 years and it not only provided the best platform to communicate but gave us an opportunity to entertain ourselves with trash talking and competitive back and forth banter. League chat makes zero sense. PLEASE bring it back before the season is over.

Bring the message boards back! What were you thinking??? And removing all of the historical info about leagues? This could be a "Bud Light" decision by the marketing/management team! We will leave Yahoo at the end of the year otherwise!!!

Ridiculous that message boards are removed. No way to communicate on desktop besides email which is so stupid. Takes the fun right out of the league not being able to communicate nor hold drafts via message board. Think I'm done with Yahoo after this year if msg board doesn't return.

I, now have to email my league when I want to communicate with them. Because the chat string doesn't make any sense to me.

Message Boards were not broken, so why did you think you had to fix them?

I agree with everyone that want the messages boards returned.

For the two decades I've been running my Yahoo fantasy football league, the message board has been my greatest tool for creating an entertaining and informative experience for my team owners. I posted weekly messages with fun stats, game previews, personal news and milestones. The message board was also the backbone of our league history, since it was easy to access archived messages from seasons past. The "blink and you miss it" nature of a chat stream does not serve any of these crucial communication needs well or even adequately. Please stop constantly trying to dumb down and dilute your fantasy football offering. Fantasy football leagues are for growing and nurturing communities of friends and sports fans. It's not just supposed to be another excuse to tap on your phone during beer commercials on a Sunday.

The original message board was the heart of my league's communication: a way to share stories, discuss league decisions, share historical league facts, congratulate winners. It wasn't the most versatile board, but it did its job well, and for a time it was a way for people to even look in the past for old messages for a dose of nostalgia (from players who have passed on for example). A "topic and responses" format has better organizational structure of thoughts than a "spew of serial chat". One could use an outside message board instead, but not everyone shares the same social platforms (sometimes actively avoiding doing so), and why should they? This is where the league is. Why can't a message board continue to be a feature here when it's been done adequately enough for more than two decades? It's been a 21 year run for my Yahoo! league, but I seriously am considering looking into other options for next year if the message board does not return.
