Allow waiver claims to fill empty roster spot
Currently, if a team has an open spot on their roster because of a player placed on IR and they try to use a waiver claim to fill it, the waiver claim will be denied. Open spots can only be filled by selecting a FA. This doesn't allow teams to pick from the vast majority of players on waivers, and seems unfair. I suggest that waiver claims be allowed to fill empty spots.

You should be able to add a player via waivers if you have an open roster spot. The player in your IR spot must be IR-eligible when the claim is made in order for it to go through. If it is not allowing you to add a player via waivers with an open roster spot and the player in your IR spot is eligible for it, please contact us under the sports section at help.yahoo.com so we can look into it further.
