Playoffs - Odd number of teams
This playoff format would allow for an odd number of teams in the playoffs. Currently, this is not an option for playoff formats.

7 team playoff option would be great!

My league is going to 14 and I've been playing fantasy football on yahoo for almost 20 years. Sucks we may have to explore other options

I would literally pay to have the option to determine the number of playoff byes to make it mimic the 7 game slate that the NFL uses.
7 team playoffs are critical for my league.

Would love this to be an option going into the 2022 season! Our league is going to start using divisions this upcoming season because the schedule works out perfectly (play teams in your divisions twice and everyone else once). We want to go with a 7 team playoff format. Top two teams from each division earn a playoff spot and then one remaining team with the most points earns a wildcard spot.
Division winner 1 = bye
Division winner 2 vs Wildcard
Division winner 3 vs Division runner up 1
Division runner up 2 vs Division runner up 3We would also need to be able to customize the first round matchups but I think that's already an option.
The NFL uses a 7 team format so it would be great if we can use a variation of their format.

That's the point. Currently it is not an option. We would like to see it be an option.

PLEASE make this an option. Shouldn't be all that difficult.

7 team playoffs where the first round losers end up in the consolation bracket. More chances for people to lose the toilet bowl.

Hey - curious do you guys plan on allowing leagues to have 7 playoff teams? We want to have 6 playoff teams based off record through week 13 and then week 14 whoever has most points out of the 7-14 teams gets the 7 seed. Would be really great if we had the ability to customize the matchups in the playoffs with 7 teams for easier tracking. Thanks!

Fantasy football format should include a 7 team playoff bracket with the 1st place finisher getting a 1st round bye, this would match the current NFL playoff system!
I always feel in 12 team leagues the 6 team format with 2 bye's is not enough, and the 8 teams with no byes is a crapshoot....this solves both those issues and matches the current NFL playoff system!!Baseball should have this as well, more playoff format options the better for organizing playoff leagues!

With expansion of NFL league scheduled from 16 weeks to 17 weeks for 14 team league schedule will make compulsorily playing for one of the team twice and potentially thrice if the team makes it playoffs causing a considerable imbalance to the level playing field. If we have 15 (odd numbers) then it will bring in level playing fields for all. Please allow odd players for the upcoming season

Our league wants to move to a 5-team playoff. Consolation bracket the last place team is automatically out (dynasty league where all games matter)

I agree! I'd like to see this option available too in 2022. We want to expand our league to 12 teams, (current at 10 teams with 4 teams making the playoffs at the end of the year). We'd like to only expand the playoffs by 1 team, a 5 team playoff bracket. I am in league with ESPN that offers 5 team playoff, and we've had it that way for 6+ years. I would love to see Yahoo evolve a little but and offer some of these customization items to their league settings.

7 team playoff with the #1 seed getting a bye week!

I agree.
With regards to the playoffs, yahoo should make the same changes as NFL recently did. Having 7 team playoff teams with only the first seed getting a bye week would be awesome! -

7 team playoff with only the first seed getting a bye definitely needs to be a option next year!

It would be great to have the ability to set seven teams in the playoffs (bye only for the top team) in larger leagues. In a 14-team for-fun league, just 6 teams getting in feels bad, and 8 teams getting in feels a bit too easy to make the playoffs. Seven teams would be a really happy medium.

@Kevin Stenhouse - you have been able to do this for the last few years. It's called Edit Playoff Seeds and we have been employing the Wild Card in our league ever since.
