Playoffs - Odd number of teams
This playoff format would allow for an odd number of teams in the playoffs. Currently, this is not an option for playoff formats.
7-Team playoffs are now available with Yahoo Fantasy Commissioner Plus: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/started-yahoo-fantasy-commissioner-sln36403.html

100% agree. It would be ideal to have commissioners rank and set their own playoff which would fix everyone's concerns/questions. Personally, I'm in a 12 team head-to-head leagues with 6 team playoff... I've been proposing to add the 6th and last playoff spot as a "Wild Card", where highest point total among remaining teams makes playoffs as opposed to all 6 teams getting in by record. Commissioners should have ability to make this happen.

My league has voted to have 7 teams make the playoffs with the #1 see receiving a bye as we have 14 teams in the the league. This will also allow the consolation bracket have 7 teams and the #8 ranked team receiving a bye. Is this something that can be added?

LoL, Yahoo must ignore this.

There is not reason for this to be under "Gathering feedback" since 2014. What the literal F are you doing over there? The playoffs are your most important weeks and we have the least control over them!

Right now the only way a league can have a 7 team playoff format is by selecting the 8 playoff team option and then having the commissioner bench the players on the 8th place team in the 1st round of the playoffs. It would be a lot easier if yahoo just provided a 7 team playoff format in the league settings.

This is by far the most important issue that needs to be addressed by Yahoo Fantasy Football. With the NFL expanding it's regular season schedule from 17 weeks to 18 weeks, a 7 team playoff format needs to be made available to every league with 7 or more teams. The NFL is already entering it's second season with the 7 team playoff format. This update should have been made available last season.

Please make a 7 team playoff format available. The NFL is now going into it's second season with a 7 team playoff format in each conference. Yahoo Fantasy Football should allow this option for every league with 7 or more teams. With the NFL expanding the regular season schedule from 17 weeks to 18 weeks this is a very important feature that needs to be made available.

The top line^ is pretty self explanatory, but another idea I had was to allow 14 team leagues to have 7 playoff teams! With just the #1 seed getting a bye. Thanks so much!

I'm in a 16-team dynasty league on Yahoo where we have always emulated the 6-team playoff format of a real life NFL conference. But this season, the NFL expanded its playoff field to 7 teams per conference, and I would like to see Yahoo allow its leagues to format their playoffs in the same way.

Really need to add a possibility to do 2 week long matchups for playoffs. Semis in weeks 13/14 and finals in weeks 15/16.

Hello, me and my league had an idea that I think many leagues will really like. Like the real NFL, we thought it would be even more competitive to have an option to have only one team to get a bye week at the start of the playoffs, also meaning that an odd number of teams can get into the playoffs. For example, we have a 14 man league. If we allowed 7 teams to make it to the playoffs, everyone will fight hard for the first seed as it will be the only team to receive a bye week (much like the real NFL will this season). Seeds 2-7 will battle it out the first week of the playoffs and the number 1 seed with the bye week will duke it out with the lowest seed of one of the surviving playoff teams (or a different seed depending on how your league's reseeding works) for the second week of the playoffs. We believe that having this option will make it more competitive during the regular season to get the one bye week as well as adding an extra playoff berth for a team looking to make a magical run. The consolation would work in a very similar fashion. Thank you for your time and we hope to see this option pop up for next season! -Alec

Yahoo offers either a 6-team or 8-team playoff format, but no 7-team playoff format. This could easily be done by providing the first-place team with a first round bye. In a 12-team league, we have found that 8 is too many, but 6 is too few. Plus, the first place team gets a well-deserved bye. Please make this happen!

At the bare minimum the consolation for a 10 team six playoff bracket league needs to be fixed. The four consolation teams not in the championship bracket should not all be on byes the first week of the playoffs. This is just dumb. They should play out their consolation bracket week 1 and 2 of the playoffs, and that third week of the fantasy playoffs should be reserved for those teams that earned it, the teams playing for third and fourth, and the championship.
