Close roster loophole
Please close the roster loophole that allows teams to not start a D-man and perpetually allow a team to keep a fourth player on the bench. Some joker in the league I'm in is currently doing this which gives him an unfair advantage by filling that roster spot and cycling through an additional forward that has dual position eligibility. If the G position now has minimum appearances then you shouldn't allow a team to accrue points with a fourth bench slot constantly filled by not starting a fourth D.

It's not smart to leave a Dman spot open when you have a Dman who can take shots, give you some hits, score a goal, get and assist or be a + for the game. They may be some situations when you want to bench many players though like on a Sunday where you ahead in +/- and do not need goals, assists etc. I've done this once and a while. It is called team management strategy.

In my league the bench is set to 0, but people can still use this loophole. It's not smart roster management when you don't want it to be allowed, but have no way to restrict it. I think the best way to fix this is if Yahoo would allow for maximum limits on active roster positions or if bench being set to 0 actually worked.

That's just smart roster management... why don't you do it too?!
This is not a loophole.
Perhaps if there was a hard bench number that couldn't be exceeded? I know of another site that has that option.... does Yahoo?

If your league settings allow it, that's not a loophole. You have the option to eliminate all bench spots.
