I don't know who thought giving a shutout to goalies at the start of the game was a good idea, but they could not be more off the mark. Does the league give goalies 82 shutouts at the start of the season and take them away as they go? No, obviously not. It'misrepresents your live fantasy points and will only result in frustration and disappointment as most of your goalies "shutouts" get taken away as they concede. So dumb.
Thank you, we are aware of this issue and currently working on getting it resolved.

It really needs to be fixed because it basically makes the live stat tracker useless. You aren't getting accurate numbers when there's false shutouts. Shutouts are worth a lot so it completely disrupts the scoring system.
Also, just NHL rules. It's not a shutout unless the goalie plays the entire game. There shouldn't be shutouts rewarded at the start of a game. Even if a starting goalie has a shutout doing, gets injured, then the backup completes the shutout, neither goalie gets credited with the shutout in the stats. They have to play all 60 minutes (+OT if necessary) to get the SHO

Yeah this is a pretty bad update. Should never work like that. I think even the backups are getting them who arnt even on the ice.

Agreed. This is incredibly frustrating, and really messes with all users who sign in and see when a shutout is listed during the game. Please remove this, as this has NEVER been a feature on Yahoo! dating back 21 years.
