Playoffs - Two week playoff matchups
This feature would allow commissioners to implement 2 week long playoff matchups for their league.

Seriously, make a move on this already, Yahoo.
Leagues use divisions for a reason, and throwing that out the door when playoffs come is ridiculous.
What's so hard about adding a "divisional playoff brackets" option to the league settings page? Leagues should have the option to prevent divisions/conferences from meeting in the playoffs before the finals (the way the *actual* NHL playoffs operate).

No. playoffs are 1 week each.

Is there a way to make each playoff matchup or at least the finals a 2-week matchup instead of one?

and they took it away...nice.

Good idea to keep things interesting! But if I can help out this is already a possibility since the commissioner can manually enter draft picks for all rounds. You just need the shout-out to the league about how it is and the commish can set the rounds next year based on the results. Another idea is to have the loser of the consolation give up a better pick for a worse one from the winner of the consolation. Incentive to win AND not to lose!

"Gathering feedback" for over 2 years, how exactly does this process work, Yahoo?
I would like more playoff options also, the customization provided by divisions can make the H2H leagues fun, but the lack of playoff options only limit the scope of the experience you're trying to provide. -

I like the current option to have division winners seeded first, but would love an option to expand it so the top two from each division make the playoffs, then the "wildcard" spots fill from there.

Agreed, I can't see why it wouldn't work just like consolation rounds for 4 or 6 team playoffs.

I have been a commissioner of a head to head league for several years and I have found that no one ever actually cares about the consolation playoffs. If managers have drafted badly or had bad seasons they will almost always become much less active in managing their team. Despite this how far you fall in the standings is determined by the last few weeks. You aren't competing for a positive, you are competing to avoid a negative, which puts a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
If there was a setting where you can just turn off consolation playoffs and have teams who don't make the playoffs have their seasons end that would be helpful.

This seems like it would be the true consolation final, I wish yahoo had this feature as well.

Indeed made the end of the season much more thrilling for everybody.

It keeps all teams active for the entire season. Eliminates tanking and lack of attention for those teams no longer interested in trying to win head-to-head matchups late in the season. We tie draft picks for the following season to the "B" playoffs (ie if you win the B playoffs, you get the #1 pick next year).

What a joke, it was the only new feature for this year and they couldn't even do it.

Can we have this now please?

Please change the options to allow for all playoff matchups to be 2 weeks, AT LEAST have the finals be over the period of 2 weeks!!
Thanks

Dear Yahoo,
We have requested this for the past 4 years, since it was a standard option up to the 2010 season (Olympic year). You had (temporarily, we thought) removed it due to the condensed schedule for the Olympics. However, you failed to bring it back and I haven't yet heard one legitimate explanation on why you haven't brought it back. All I had received in response was 'request to product team for new suggestions etc'.
It's not new, you just haven't brought it back for some unknown reason.
Please explain.

Each league is different and I think this is a good way to allow for a more competitive and fair way of gauging the winner(s).
It can be put fourth as a vote in the league so it will be adjusted to needs of each league accordingly.
