Playoffs - Two week playoff matchups
This feature would allow commissioners to implement 2 week long playoff matchups for their league.

you should have the option of top team in each division make it.
for example if you have 14 team 2 divison 7 teams in each division with 8 teams making the playoffs.
You should be able to make it that top 4 teams in each divison make it rather then 1st seeds make it and then its overall standings
In my league the consolation rounds mean nothing and no one pays attention to it. The option of turning it off is a great idea. Thanks
If you don't add this feature this year then our league is moving to fantrax.
Yeah last year when you advertised 2 wk h2h finals, all the GMs in my leagues were excited then your service didn't deliver. There's a big movement in one of my leagues to switch to fantrax now. Anyways, this needs to happen!

Allow a losers playoffs as an option in custom leagues. Teams that don't make the playoffs are seeded into a tournament to determine the lower standings and ultimately the last place team. This tournament would work as a negative of the actual playoffs such that the worse team would be left "winning" the losers playoff. Categories would be counted as a negative, eg the person with the most goals actually loses the categories, so the player who did the worse in the match up moves on, and the better player makes it out (you win to exit this playoff). Last player in the losers playoff is crowned the last place team. This would keep all teams active through the whole season as now all teams have something to play for.
The last week in the NHL is a joke!
Would be great to see Yahoo adapt the option to fully customize playoff brackets like other sites such as Fantrax and ESPN. Even having some sort of option to choose from rather than just division winners getting top seed.
I've got two words for you,
Seriously though, it's a very important feature.

Yahoo!!! Here's some advice, don't claim a new feature of a 2 week final and then take it away right before the playoffs. Everybody clearly wants a 2 week final as it gives a more accurate assessment of the better team. I don't get how yahoo is "unable" to offer a 2 week final. Get it together. And please let us know if this can't be done so that we can move our league to a service that isn't "unable" to do this. Reiterating what someone else already said, ESPN's fantasy service is looking more and more enticing with their 2 week finals.

This is a fantastic idea that needs to be implemented for 2016-2017. Stop ignoring it!

This is a great idea!

Seriously, make a move on this already, Yahoo.
Leagues use divisions for a reason, and throwing that out the door when playoffs come is ridiculous.
What's so hard about adding a "divisional playoff brackets" option to the league settings page? Leagues should have the option to prevent divisions/conferences from meeting in the playoffs before the finals (the way the *actual* NHL playoffs operate).

No. playoffs are 1 week each.
Is there a way to make each playoff matchup or at least the finals a 2-week matchup instead of one?

and they took it away...nice.
Good idea to keep things interesting! But if I can help out this is already a possibility since the commissioner can manually enter draft picks for all rounds. You just need the shout-out to the league about how it is and the commish can set the rounds next year based on the results. Another idea is to have the loser of the consolation give up a better pick for a worse one from the winner of the consolation. Incentive to win AND not to lose!
"Gathering feedback" for over 2 years, how exactly does this process work, Yahoo?
I would like more playoff options also, the customization provided by divisions can make the H2H leagues fun, but the lack of playoff options only limit the scope of the experience you're trying to provide.
I like the current option to have division winners seeded first, but would love an option to expand it so the top two from each division make the playoffs, then the "wildcard" spots fill from there.
Agreed, I can't see why it wouldn't work just like consolation rounds for 4 or 6 team playoffs.

I have been a commissioner of a head to head league for several years and I have found that no one ever actually cares about the consolation playoffs. If managers have drafted badly or had bad seasons they will almost always become much less active in managing their team. Despite this how far you fall in the standings is determined by the last few weeks. You aren't competing for a positive, you are competing to avoid a negative, which puts a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
If there was a setting where you can just turn off consolation playoffs and have teams who don't make the playoffs have their seasons end that would be helpful.
