Hello yahoo, can we please get a faceoff% or net face offs stat category this upcoming season, like how you have net saves and holds in baseball? We've asked for this for years but to no avail. This stat seems like a no-brainer.

Shootout goals are such a big part of hockey now but are meaningless in yahoo fantasy hockey

Please add this! or get your stat provider to support these stats!

OT and S/O losses would be cool if it was somehow factored in to the W category. Wins worth 2 points and OT and S/O losses are worth 1.

@Kelly
In fantasy hockey, goalies are not eligible for scoring in offensive categories, by design.
Likewise in fantasy baseball, pitchers are not eligible to collect offensive stats and position players are not eligible to collect pitching stats, by design.

G's, like P's in baseball, are not eligible for certain scoring categories by design.

I'd really like to see shootout scoring introduced into the Yahoo Fantasy. Seeing as shootouts play a huge role in the winning of a game, it would be great as a fantasy "GM" to have your players who score a shootout goal get something like half a point and shootout winners be one point.

I totally understand this complaint and had my understanding of it 'backwards' in my first season of fantasy hockey......but that's the way it is.....Yahoo.....

This would be a great way to make this work!

You can always create your own custom categories and weight them as you see fit.

Goals are goals and assists are assists on the ice regardless of who gets them, they should absolutely count in fantasy for all positions. I would have won my Week 1 if Rask's 2 assists were counted. Please change.
p.s. to all those who say that forwards/deferencemen should get points for saves, if goalies start getting points for G/A/PIM/SOG/PPP/GWG, newsflash: they already do - it's called blocked shots

Agreed it rarely happens but goalie assits and goals and PIMs should be able to be added to team totals

Please add GP when users are looking at their players under the "My Team" tab. It will be a lot easier to see who to bench or start. Thanks!

Please add GP (games played) to the stats strickley for viewing purposes

Last night Tukka Rask had 2 assists, (4 point in our scoring) and in a close race could be decided by 4 points. I don't believe that PIMs have a lot of value for goalies but it would be nice if when a goalie gets an assist or a goal (even though they are very rare) to collect points for that. When setting up a league it would be nice to have the option to allow these points. If one league doesn't want to allow this they don't need to have them but for us who do it is a nice option. I also play in a fantasy football league and I feel like this is like not allowing a WR to get passing yards. It is rare but if you had Pryor or Edelman on your team and they ran a trick play or something and they completed a pass you'd be choked if you didn't/couldn't get they points.

I don't understand the desire for this proposal... a GWG is a GWG whether it's in OT or not isn't it?
To say it's "Truer" than scoring with say less than a second in regulation isn't right. And how is it more "clutch" when it's down to 3 on 3?
While I'm all for having options there are better improvements to be made -

Overtime goals and Shootout goals are two of the worst categories you can ask for.
