By providing the user the OPTION of choosing the location for the weather report. I want to know about the city, not my suburb.
How did you get hold of my location (ie suburb) for the daily weather report? Isn't this breach of privacy? Why can't I change it to the area that I'm interested in and have that as the default?

Fix the memory leak on the Forex page.
The forex page has a memory leak. After leaving my browser open at https://au.finance.yahoo.com/q?s=AUDUSD=X for a couple of days on my Mac the Chrome process for that page was using 750Mb.

Please please put captions for videos on a BLACK background if the text is white. For videos with a bar at the bottom describing who is talking etc, white captions over the top are impossible to read. Really big issue for access for Deaf and hard of hearing people.

can we get the links on the home page to actually work would be fantastic.I hate the big ribbon add at the top that you have to close everytime you come back to the home page. Point of interest, i never buy products from annoying dominating adds as a protest to such ads.

Please explain why you insist on me providing a mobile number to set up a Yahoo account.
I don't provide my mobile phone number to anyone unless they have a valid reason. I certainly don't provide it over the internet.
Your excuses regarding "requiring" a mobile number to enable email resets are invalid.
Finally, I don't believe you are allowed to require such private information under Australian law.
You do not require it to provide the service being requested.Please provide an option to use a verified email address for password resets..

Too many spelling mistakes in news items
I've been noticing this for a long time, but thought I'd finally mention it today. On the front page of Yahoo News and within various articles I read, I regularly notice either very basic spelling mistakes or the wrong words being used all together. In one of today's headlines it says, "Decent in United Ranks?" It should actually read "Dissent"!! Two totally different meanings. I was totally confused as I didn't know what the headline was trying to say. Decent means 'honest or virtuous' whereas dissent means 'conflict or disagreement'.
