I hate the new layout and will be changing to MSN or similar for my homepage.
Too many ads, no news just a whole lot of "fluff" and mindless page fillers. Too much going on, too confusing and cluttered. Modern is clean not cluttered.

I do not want to see ads in the letters file, it is one place on the internet that should be totally free of ads.

I just installed adblock extension for chrome and it worked. For now anyway.

The new homepage looks fine on a PC (not a new idea BTW but the same as the UK one) but on an iPad it's awful...it's just line after line.
The new homepage is just a huge page of text all in a line which doesn't seem to update regularly. The old page was at least broken up Into sections and encouraged you to look through it. I used to like the top four stories at the top, it let you see breaking news immediately.

Bring back the old hom page!!! After more than ten years you force me to change, is rubbish!!!!!!!!
Some ads I cant turned off, forcing me to look at a new car, or go to Tasmania advertising. for that reason I can't go to Tasmania even we was planning it. your ad came up on the top, when I would like to look at the news, and it covers the top of the page. I hate it. I am thinking of making a website, to collect signatures from people, " We will never touch any product, which have the type of forced advertising. I am sure, will have lots of people will sign it.

theres an empty spot at the bottom whynot throw in some more ads and make it so clotted up there's no room for news, then emails well there'
put so many ads into yahoo that there's no room for news and also email pages wow there room for heaps more and besides who reads them ? people just hit the "X" well why don't yahoo remove the "X"
