I have to say: I am THIS close to deleting my yahoo email which I've had for about 10 years....I understand the need for advertising dollars but it will backfire on them:
I've begun writing them and telling the advertisers I will NOT be using their products due to the inundation of their ads.
Kind of defeats the purpose of advertising doesn't it? Drive away customers.....
Pretty soon we won't have any content on the yahoo pages, just ad after ad after ad.....

I agree. Not happy with this at all. I thought this was spam & tried to find contact in yahoo to report but was sent on merry-go-round in the help section with no real contact option.
You are forced to click on these ads & they show up in different folders. It's one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen yet in terms of forced adverts.
Waiting to see what yahoo does next but willing to cut all yahoo experience if this continues.

I agree! What a piece of **** that is! AND when I try to send anything, the page will keep reloading and reloading the ads on the right side of the page......and my emails don't get sent!
I HATE YAHOO! And I guess I'm just going to leave my email open until I can switch everything over the my old Hotmail account.....don't even try gmail, it's a piece of **** too!

Well Yahoo.....I can see that I am not alone in my personal opinion of what I think of your new "sponsored ads" (SPAM!!!!!) in my inbox. Today is July 12th.....if you do not listen to your users and remove this **** from our inbox by July 19th, I will be deleting my email account with you.....as well as never, ever surfing your site again for daily news features! I'll go to MSN/Outlook (Hotmail) instead.

I am now visiting the sponsored ads companies (not through the link in my email) and telling them how I will never use their product as long as they continue to pay for sponsored inbox ads at Yahoo. I know Yahoo doesn't care what we think but perhaps the sponsors do.

I too will be going to another email provider if the sponsored ads in my inbox are not removed. It is enough to have pictures on the right hand side of the page showing ugly haggard women with wrinkles who evidently need the advertised facial creme. Having ads that flash and beep at me is annoying but they can be ignored. However, having ads in my personal inbox is outrageous and is really the last straw.

I will never buy from any company invading my e-mail with your 'sponsored links'. Yahoo! is going to lose a multitude of customers because of your unfettered and unthinking greed. Do you think you're the only store in town?
