Unclosable Apple Ad
The fact that I cannot close that Apple ad is extremely annoying and has now officially pushed me away from Yahoo! permanently.
Put a way on the APPLE ADS to SHUT THEM DOWN instead of letting them be across the screen and 5 inches down the screen taking up valuable space that I want for reading the other things that are on the screen.
lose the apple add or put an "X" on it.!!!! I am sick and tired of it.!!!!!
I *STRONGLY* object to how Yahoo treats Apple ads different from all other ads; the user should be able to close Apple ads!!
Stop the annoying MacBook popup
Please allow the apple ads to be closeable. The fact that they are the only ones that you cannot close shows that you have allowed apple to strong-arm you into not allowing this important feature to be available. Is Yahoo that hard up for cash that they would allow their customer base to be so annoyed?
How about placing a close button on your damned advertisements. You just assured Apple Computers that I'll NEVER buy one of their products
Take that unclosable Apple ad off! I can't believe after all the complaints that it gets put back up. I guess it's all about the money and not about your consumers.
Quit force feeding your ads on consumers. Get rid of the Apple ad as it closes down Yahoo.com. How many ads do you need on the home page before you are happy?
Make all adds so they can be closed off screen!!
Don't allow Apple to buy your integrity! By allowing companies to purchase advertising where the consumer has only two choices; watch the ad or close the homepage, Yahoo loses integrity. And for all of the other advertisers who are punished because of Apple, because I am going to close my homepage until the ad is gone.
remove the apple ad. this is ridiculous!!!
lose the apple add or put the "X" on it!!!!!!
See above and Put the X back to close ads NOW please.
Yahoo, continues to allow Apple to have their ads without giving anyone the choice of closing it, as it takes up a 1/3 of the home page.
My opinion is Yahoo doesn't care!!!!!! Yahoo knows people complain & still it never changes.
Yahoo is part of a trend of not listening to We the People. Disappointing!!!!!
quit going to bed with Apple ads. (x) this is an exit symbol.
Please stop auto-playing videos in the front page...
The front page is already too busy without multiple gif/videos playing...
Auto-play of "other content" when I click to view something is lame and interrupts people from actually reading content before being auto-loading into something you have no interest in.
Please don't use apple ads that don't give the option to close them . They are huge and take up so much space on my home page. Please make sure we can close out of them. Besides I wouldn't buy anything apple, their items are too expensive !
Please allow closing of ADs when selected. The Close feature does not work.
The Lending Tree ad across the home page will not close. As this has happened quite a few times in the past, suggest Yahoo reassign individuals in charge of this "work."
put ads down one side of page instead of all over the page they run and talk at same time it gets on my nerve and I only have one so i don't stay on the home page to read much on it. the ads don't need to be on top of the page i can't see to read what they are covering up and some you can't close at all if you do another pops up to take the place of the one i just close or its the same ad do something better then this the home page is very busy with ads i don't even like or i want to get rid of them all together i don't need a dating sever i don't need a lot of the things that are so called ads on there. some goes against my believes I'm a christian and i don't like to see gay ads or anything that is wrong according to GODS WORD. maybe you could show more christian ads on the page. i'm sure there is a lot of them out there.
Way to go Yahoo! on your latest annoying ad for "the new apartments.com". I understand ads must be present, and I don't mind them along and around the articles, in fact I sometimes browse the ads, but I do NOT appreciate them popping up and obscuring my reading view. Nor do I appreciate having to minimize or search for how to close the ad every time I hit the home page. Every time I open the homepage the thing pops up and obscures my view of the homepage. If I do a search and return to the homepage, guess what? It does the same thing. EVEN WITH POP UP BLOCKER ACTIVATED!!! I am a long time user of Yahoo, and I truly must congratulate you on chasing me off. I am no longer using Yahoo as my home page or search engine of choice because I am sick and tired of dealing with this type of nonsense. Additionally your advertiser - the newapartments.com would never get my business because of this ad. Thank you and good bye.
the ad for apartment.com should not pop up & cover the screen unless I click on a box asking it to open. Most annoying ad on Yahoo I have seen in years.
The large ads at the top of news page are so annoying. No one likes them. Take them off and make everyone happy.
im so tired of it taking so long to load your page...im going to change my email...an home page...PLEASE EVERYONE THAT SEES THIS IF THEY DONT DO SOMETHING SOON LEAVE THEM..GO TO SOME OTHER SITE...REMEMBER THEY NEED US,,WE DONT NEED THEM...THERE ARE MANY OTHER SITES...I HAVE BEEN LOOKING...PLEASE LEAVE YAHOO...IF THEY DONT FIX IT...THEY GET RICH,,,WE GET ALL THE ADDS...THATS NOT FAIR....
WAAAAYYYYY TOO MANY POP-Up ADS!!! so distracting that I won't try to read any of the stories
I do believe Yahoo's the web master (and I am not to sure about the word "master") is trying to force users to Google
IF YOU DON'T STOP THE BIG ADS ON THE FRONT PAGE YOU WILL LOSE ME!!!!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY THE ADS I CAN'T DELETE LIKE THE APPLE AD ON NOW!!!!!
Stop allowing the Apple I-pad ad you can't close out.
Start out minimized... If i am interested i will then open it.
I vehemently demand that you immediately remove the Ipad Air advertisement from your Homepage or allow the user to close it at his disgression. Why in **** do you do this? It's a major distraction to what I really want to do, and it ****** most everyone off, and it slows down my system, and does not help sell the product.
Apple ad is unacceptable. At least give us a way to x the ad.
GET THAT HALF PAGE APPLE AD OFF MY HOME SCREEN PAGE! I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY ARE PAYING YOU - IS IT WORTH LOSING A FEW MILLION YAHOO USERS?
get rid of the adds on top of the page all you do is make not want to use yahoo...
remove apple ipad ad stop posting ads on top page of yahoo
GET RID OF THE ******* IPAD ADD THAT EATS UP HALF MY ******* SCREEN YOU ********
Get rid of the very Large Ad Banners!!! They are annoying, especially the Apple ones that cannot be closed!
STOP THE BIG ADS ON THE FRONT PAGE THAT I CANNOT DELETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM REALLY ANNOYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU WILL LOSE ME AS A CUSTOMER IF I GET ANYMORE AND I WILL NOT RETURN TO YAHOO - EVER!!!!!!!!!!
These Apple ads that aren't closeable just HAVE to go or I'm going to stop using Yahoo as my homepage. I get that you need ad revenue but shoving Apple down our throats isn't the way to do it.
FIX THAT APPLE AD! There is no "X" to close the Apple ad with.
The apple ad is obnoxious. Because of this ad, I will not ever consider buying an Apple product.
When I want information about Apple iWhatever, I'll go to their site! Stop putting those ads that take up a quarter of my screen on the Yahoo! home page unless you're going to put a "Close" button on them!!! Either you're jerks, or Apple is!!!!
Why can't Yahoo put the "X" (close) option on this Apple ad? Every time it's their we cannot close the darn thing. It is VERY ANNOYING and quite frankly I would not buy any Apple product because of it.
Too many **** ad's, can't enjoy the page. Can't get rid of some Ipad & apple ad's, it's annoying
Please get rid of these ads that won't go away, like the Apple ipad one today!
Please stop putting these hideous Apple adds on your home page that seem to take up one third of the page and cannot be closed. These ads are totally obnoxious and trust me on this, they make me want to do anything but buy an apple product. Horrible, please stop, to the point where I switch to MSN for the day just to get away from the ad.
YAHOO! Get rid of these fricking Ads that are driving me insane. I've tried folowing some instructions on Yahoo, to no avail. Please, get rid of this ****, or I'm DONE with Yahoo, one of many others I hear having this going on. JUST STOP THEM!
Apple ad or most of the ads makes me sick how dare you play with my home page now that I have it the way I like. Its up to you if I stay with yahoo or not.
This Apple AD locks up my desktop computer! I can't open Email. Why do you think I want my computer locked up? This is NOT fair to tie up my computer with an AD that will NOT load. Tell me why I should stay with Yahoo?
the apple ad makes wonder if i hate them or you more
Stop shoving the Apple ad in my face! You people are idiots.
What is with the stupid Apple ad on the start page that has no X to click out of. I am real tired of seeing that all the time. Hope they paid you well for that Ad.
It is a huge distraction to have the banner ad on the home page that the user can not close. I should not be required to have it running. If it continues, I will consider Google as my primary search engine.
Because I'm not able to close the Apple ad and it is eating bandwidth and page space, I'm switching my home page to Bing. Who's with me?!
Get rid of the Apple ad on the home page. It's back again and we can not turn it off
hey get stupid big apple ad off the home page...you screwing with my web time
Until you take that obnoxious Apple ad off the top of the page, I will no longer use Yahoo as my home page.
Get Apple ad away from my screen!!!!!......
thanks you... >:(
PLEASE stop the Apple ad on my home page
Yahoo is reeked with annoyance. Honestly, I am searching for something different where I don't have too pay any $49 to get rid of ads. The ads with Yahoo on my e-mail page are invasive to me and the one right at the top is the worst. I signed on this morning and watched an Apple ad load and it had no "X" (close ad) for an option. Fed up with Yahoo.
The Apple ad on the homepage that cannot be closed? Horrendous. I will not be on Yahoo very much today, or, for as long as that is staring me in the face.
It's all about the money and to **** with the actual users of Yahoo. Goodbye Yahoo. Hello MSN.
"Under review" must prompt negotiations to get more money to run the un-closable apple ads.
I'm not an Apple customer nor do I ever intend to be!! GET RID OF THE YAHOO HOMEPAGE APPLE ADS!! At least give the option to close the ads!!
Why can't I close any of those annoying Apple ads. I can close all the others. Either get rid of it, or get rid of me. I've had Yahoo for more than 15 years and used to tell all my friends use Yahoo, use Yahoo, that's about to change because of one little "WTF" on your part.
the new won't go away either come on guys
Allow the apple add to be removed. We come on to see news to ADVERTISING!!
As long as you can't delete this annoying Apple ad on Yahoo! I will not use Yahoo! for news and will not use a Yahoo e-mail address, and certainly not my homepage. You have lost a devoted Yahoo! follower, all the money you gain is worthless if no one visits YAHOO!.com
It hasn't pushed me away from Yahoo...just Apple.

Nice idea, Yahoo. I haven't gotten upset with other changes in the past, but the barrage of sponsored ads (1 in 3 - and even if I try to say, "I don't want to see this" you keep shoving it in my face) and the new, "you must watch this ad" campaign have pushed me to skip the homepage completely and change my home page to something else. You might as well go all-in at this point and run Flash on *every* page.
As much as I hate Google, at least it doesn't pull this kind of **** - or if it does, I can block it. I expected better - much, much better.
Get a good adblocker extension for your browser. some will even get rid of the virus spam yahoo hides in their news articles lists. Note: if the news article has the words "sponsored link" it is most likely a link to a website loaded with spy ware and viruses. Yahoo likes to disguise these links to malicious software as a news article. There is no limit to what yahoo will do for a dollar.

When apple ad is unlosable I use MSN for the that day, otherwise I do like yahoo.
I hope everyone does the same thing as I do when they see an uncloseable Apple add on Yahoo!'s home page: Leave feedback and then leave for a different site.... msn.com, Google.com, CNN.com... whatever.
Hopefully, Yahoo! will get the message and get rid of these aweful ads.
Remember Heartbleed ? I call this one Applepeel, get rid of this annoying Adware Yahoo! Let me take back control of the Ads that appear on my PC, if I want to delete them then give me the opportunity to do so.
Trust is out the window when using Yahoo! anymore. If you can't delete a scrawling Apple ad by choice. Then what else are they doing to your PC when you are on their homepage.
This is like adware, malware, unwanted pop-up protection that you pay security anti virus firms to protect your PC against. You can't delete it or get rid of this ad by choice so what is stopping Yahoo! from planting anything else they want on your PC.
If I didn't buy an Apple product would they send me one free, I don't think so. Its called Freedom of Choice ! It could apply to having ads appear on you personal PC, you could choose to delete them or not. But in this case you have no freedom at all. So why bother using Yahoo when your Freedom of Choice is gone!
It's bad enough any time Yahoo insists on these ads that either take up the top half of the start page or has animation that wipes all over the place. But now you can't even get rid of the thing. Makes me extremely negative forward both Apple and Yahoo. I will not be using the start page until Yahoo removes this.

I agree. It's an imposing ad that just lurks there like a mean dog tied to a fence that you try to ignore but can't. It's annoying. It's distracting. I am trying to read the news, not shop. When I want to shop, yahoo has a neat little link to the left of the page that I can click on that says "Shopping". These ads are too 'in your face'.
Very much agree. Ads are one thing. Not being able to close an Apple ad (or any other) when i have no intention of researching or buying the product, quite another. Same goes for not being able to delete a sponsored item. If I choose to read something of interest, it is my choice. If I don't want it there, I want it GONE.
