Answers.com sponsored ads are loaded with viruses. I used to love Yahoo news, now I hate it.
Yahoo news is getting worse by the day. I understand Yahoo needs to turn more profits, but linking to sites like Answers.com is just going to **** people off, not line your pockets.

The sponsored stories are nothing but clickbait. The stories aren't real, they are only there to get clicks and ad money. Ads need to be separated from the news feed.

I realize Yahoo needs whatever revenue stream they can come up with, but placing ads that take up a 1/3 of the page is very annoying.
There are other email sites that don't have invasive/annoying ads. I'll use yahoo less if this if annoying ads are the new norm..

I now go to Google.com for the news; ess advertisements. Althought still can't comment, there is less ads that one has to deal with.

I agree with you, I thought I was just seeing things. Does anyone actually "buy" anything from any of these advertisements? It drives me crazy.

I am very close to dumping Yahoo completely - every single time I click on a story now, not just the ads, my virus scan is blocking a high-risk site! Not cool Yahoo!

Why are you still showing content from financial frauds and hucksters.

So much trivial information, ads that no one pays attention to; lies and distortion of truth. made up stories; personal agendas. Nothing educational, nothing entertaining, on Yahoo.com and Msn.com. Strip all that garbage off and start over, and I would try some "new blood" in your writers.

I too click "x" often to close these ads, different reasons for different ads but every single time I come back to yahoo the same ads are showing again....what is the point?! Extremely annoying, it's really not worth using yahoo any longer. I'm looking for something to use in place of it until the ads are gone, or at least reduced and reporting something as offensive actually does something.

I have clicked on the "x" to report as "offensive to me" and it still continues. The responses are ineffective, obviously. I'm going to cancel my account on Yahoo and be done with them. It's a shame that they're linked to ABC, which is my favorite news station.

Adam M. I agree with you 100%. I have learned not to click on any ads not knowing what will infect my computer. You posted your comment in August 2014 and Yahoo has it under review as of February 2015 and here it is October 28, 2015. How long does it take to review a bad sponsor of ads.
