  1. It would be great if you could manage RSVPs through your Yahoo! Group.

It's the only downside to Yahoo! Groups versus Google Groups.

  3. Make the unsubscribe option independent of the mderator

Once a group has been taken over by spammers there appears to be no way out of the group.

  4. Meeting time came in reminder as Greenwich mean time

Please do not change the time of an event (meeting) to Greenwich mean time! My calendar has the correct time, why did it change in the meeting reminder message?

  5. Be able to select text in List View

It would be really helpful if we could list multiple months in List view, and then select and copy the text for use in emails or in other SignUP apps, like Sign Up Genius and Jooners.

  6. Ability to export calendar feed to a website widget

Specifically we'd like to have events from the Yahoo Groups calendar appear on our WordPress site using a widget called Upcoming Events (or if you can suggest a compatible widget). It seems to be able to accept an iCalendar feed URL, but I can't figure out how to get that information from Yahoo. Can you make the feed available and easy to find in the events section?

  9. Our calendar reminders are posting with no line spacing. It posts to the group as one large paragraph and not as it's shown on the calendar.

Please fix the line spacing in the text in the calendar reminders when they post. Text is entered as paragraphs but posts to the group as one long paragraph with no line spacing, which makes for difficult reading for groups members. Thank you!

  14. Events Calendar Notes section - please give control of line change/return

Events Calendar "Notes" section used to preserve line changes as entered by the creator of the Event posting.

Mostly, we find the Event Calendar working fairly well now, EXCEPT for this glitch.

Currently, everything entered into the Notes field is mashed together without regard for line changes ("return" key!) or extra spacing between words.

This has resulted in members misreading event info to the point of almost arguing about who was supposed to do what. Vertical lists, especially, turn into a mash-up of run-on words.

****Please**** at least program the Calendar to respect line changes when entered in the Notes…

  15. Calendar Events not being saved again.

Again, the calendar feature is having issues. User edits a calendar event. Makes changes, page shows changes after change but database is not updated. Leave calendar and return to an edited event and it has reverted to the unedited event.

  16. Allow a FIXED TIME ZONE

I have a very local group. I want JUST Pacific Time Zone. I have LOADS of trouble with members who can't get the time zone setting right.
(Yahoo USED TO let us just set the Calendar times without these zones. I spend a lot of time now helping members get their zone right.
AND -- Yahoo buries the time zone setting in multiple places.
AND -- Yahoo doesn't recognize time zone changes right away -- leading to GREAT confusion. I've CHANGED the time zone setting, but my calendar doesn't look any different. WHY?? Why indeed.

  18. Reminders do not print the times entered in event.

I set my calendar to AZ time and entered my times but the reminders go out with GMT time. - This is unacceptable. There should be an option that the international groups can use where the time translates to who the receiver is (like outlook) and doesn't mess with the point of origination times. Ours is a neighborhood group - no time translations are needed.

  19. Fix the Timezone Problem with Event Reminders

Our events are set up with the proper time -- 2-5pm -- and our calendar is set to the proper timezone - (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US Canada)- yet this is the message that our members set when they get reminders: "09:00 AM to 12:00 PM".

You need to fix this or we will be forced to leave YahooGroups and find another way to organize our events.

  20. Event Calendat time zone issue

Please add a warning popup when the user creating an event has a calendar that is not GMT +0 and the group calendar is GMT +0.

"Warning - group calendar is set to GMT"
