How can we save our content if Yahoo says that the uploaded content does not belong to them?
We were just notified that Yahoo will no longer host content that has been uploaded, as of December 14, 2019. How can we save that content if, when we click on the download button, Yahoo's system comes up with the message that ""We are sorry, you cannot display imageshosted by Yahoo groups on non-Yahoo Groups pages" or another ********, Bogus errot Your browser sent a request that this server cannot understand" . "xa.yimg.com is a BUSINESS PARTNER with yahoo that delivers the systems images to Yahoo members. If this isn't fixed by Saturday. I will issue a complaint with the FTC and FCC for deceptive business practices and lying about services that are not provided.I DON"T WANT TO LOSE MY CONTENT OF OVER 10 YEARS!!!

I want to preserve 15 years' worth of HOA messages. I submitted the download request twice now. I thought maybe I did something wrong the first time, because after I got the email saying my data was ready (it took about a week) and logged in to retrieve it, nothing was available. So I tried again. I got the email again (after a couple of days this time). Same results. This is what I see:
Your Yahoo Groups data
Your download request has been completed, but no data of this type is available in your account.
While I realize this was a free service and you get what you pay for, does Yahoo seriously feel no sense of social responsibility to help users preserve this important data?

No, it will all be deleted.
Google "Personal Groupware" for software to save everything.
It’s strange how things come back to their beginning.
I created this program (PGO) during the Dot Com implosion, 19 years ago, to preserve the data on the Yahoo Groups I was a member of.
Now it is being used again for the purpose for which it was originally intended…. the emergency preservation of data.
It is a fitting, if sad end.
The group I moderate has close to 30,000 messages. From what I have read on the thread "How can we preserve group message base?" there seems to be no provision Yahoo has for us to download everything, even if it's just the message bodies. Yahoo is allowing sabotage by corporate infiltrators paid by FB and Google

So I went to download manager https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/getmydata# and requested that my data be downloaded, expecting to be able to select the group, the archived messages, files, photos or whatever, and instead a message popped up that an email will be sent to me when the download is ready, in up to 30 days. I have no idea what will be in this download--does anyone know? I am suspicious after reading the above messages that it will include any of what I am interested in downloading since it didn't ask me about any of the details....

It would be easy for Yahoo to provide group owners or moderators with an "archive all files/photos/messages/etc to a zip file" option. They should do this so we can preserve our group contents ant find alternative hosting.
Photos and files can be saved right from the Yahoo Groups site, or you can download your data from the Privacy Dashboard.
You have to save EACH single photo and each single file from the site. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I took me 1 hour to save 80 photos...... F**k yahell
