Major Glitch with Delete/remove/leave group Functions going on
Dear Yahoo! It appears there is a system wide glitch / bug that is affecting many delete functions in addition to the "remove member" "leave group" function.
Many have provided feedback individually. Can you consolidate this issue and votes and escalate it? Thank you for your hard work in providing us with a great product. We appreciate your prompt review of this issue.
I Can't deleting message at my group.
my group is Pardisco.
thanks a lot.
I am unable to remove members from our group, it says "an error occurred" and does nothing. I am able to remove them if I ban them as well, but I don't really want to ban everyone removed.
I STILL CANNOT DELETE FILES, REMOVE MEMBER, INVITE MEMBER IN YAHOO GROUPS.
Please correct the issue that does not allow us to delete files from folders.
I can not delete/remove members from my group. When try to do so I get a banner error message at the bottom of the screen that states; 'Sorry, an error occurred while loading the content.'
getting an error message when trying to delete unused groups
The delete function is not working across several functions:
1- can't remove members ( nor can they leave group)
2- can't remove an individual message via the trash can icon
3- can't delete pending messages via web ( only via email command)
This is system wide across multiple groups we own and as you can see many others are reporting this glitch both here and on Groups Answers.
Thank you for your prompt and kind assistance.
When I attempt to remove a member from a group I am moderator of I get a message that says "Sorry an error occurred while loading the content". I have repeatedly attempted this in IE 9 , Firefox, Chrome, on different PC's and from different locations. The result is the same. I use Win 7 Pro 64 bit. To me this seems like a bug NOT a feature.
All I'm getting is a completely uninformative message which states: -
"Sorry, an error occurred while loading the content.".
I also agree with a lot of the other posts on the feedback boards in that the current (new) version of Group Maintenance is utterly awful, not user friendly, un-intuitive and generally confusing. By the way I'm a software developer in my day job !!!
For the last 3 days now....when I go to delete the attachments from my group in Neo....it says, "Sorry, an error occurred while loading the content."....This is really irritating. Please fix it.
I never wanted my attachments to archive in the first place, but at least I could go and delete them until now.....
It was easier to keep them deleted on a daily basis without letting them build up in volume.
PLEASE FIX IT !!!
We are experiencing a new error. We can't remove members and they themselves cannot leave the group. We get the purple error bar and they get error notices too. Is there a solution to this issue? Thank you
The "remove Member" option is there, but it is broken.
The error of " Sorry, an error occurred while loading the content " is easily repeatable by going to Management >Manage members> putting checkmark in the box beside a "Display name" >Actions >Remove from group" >Confirm. Error message appears at bottom of screen and member remains in list.
I consider this a security issue. Perhaps I am doing something wrong? Please guide me through the correct steps if I am in error.
Remove member does not seem to work. I created a test group (called Test1), had my brother join the group, and then removed him from the group by selecting him on the membership list, and selected "Remove member" from the "Actions" drop down. The process completed with no error messages. The next day, I looked again at the membership list and he is still on it. I tried to remove him again, but this time I got the "Sorry, unable to load content" message.
As a moderator I'm unable to delete members (and so is my colleague). This error message appears constantly: "Sorry, an error occurred while loading the content." What's the sollution for this problem?
yahoogroups has bugs (remove, delete)
I cannot remove people.
I cannot delete the group.
"Unable to save, please try after some time"
"Sorry, an error occurred while loading the content."
I am the owner of the group, with full rights.
What is wrong? When will you have fixed it?
Please send me a message, when you have repaired the bug.
Thanks a million.
Once again, as a moderator,( in this case, of the maleshortlegclub group, but doubtless applies to many other groups) I find that the 'Remove Member' function is not working in 'neo'. Does anything? How am I supposed to moderate a group if the most basic functionality doesn't exist?
Edit facility re posts 'hit and miss' - us tally have to resort to cut and paste; system will now allow one edit! So, I'm having to cut and paste or edit one! spelling, 'save' then do the next. Time consuming isn't the word!
I get an error message if I try to remove people from the Group.
I get an error message if I try to 'unban' a member.
Fix the broken leave group function.... the button gives an error loading content message at present
There was a glitch in edge servers that were blocking certain type of requests from some IP addresses – this issue has been fixed. Marking this as completed.

Thank you for taking the time to gather all the similar posts to yours. I’ve gone ahead and merged those that clearly are the same issue (there are a couple that are too vague to confirm if it’s the same issue or not).
We have reported this issue to the engineers and they are looking into the cause and a potential fix. We’ll provide you with further updates once available.
Again, thank you for your feedback and all the details you took the time to provide!

It has been 3 years, I cant get rid of it!
Anonymous is confused. Put a checkmark on the member(s) you want to delete, select "Remove from group" from the Action menu. Simple.
Or, select "Remove members" and enter the email addresses of up to 100 members you want to remove in bulk. Not as simple.
Why is there no simple "delete member" function? Is Yahoo! still maintaining this software? If not, please announce that fact, and let us move to some other supported software.
2 months later and still no fix.
Yahoo-I hate you.
You are just THE WORST!
So...if a member decides to leave Groups altogether (ie: no longer have an interest in Yahoo Group forums), said member is forced to click on all of the groups joined, and one by one, remove themselves?
This is tedious at best. The old way is much better, click a little box and delete as needed. No need to go to every individual group and un-join yourself. Too many dead forums outt here to click on every single one I've joined. How about making the UI simple to use again?
Interesting. I checked two (related) groups I moderate. One is a group of parents, one is a group of students. I can remove members on one group, but not the other.
It is the student group I can't remove members on. I wonder if it's because it's a restricted, educational group. (for minors).
Whatever the reason - it's still frustrating for the teacher/owner, and for the parent volunteer moderators.

I am still unable to transfer Ownership of a forum to one of the Moderators on the forum. Efforts to actually reach a person have failed. I'm getting nothing but the run-around when using Yahoo Help ... no way to actually Contact Customer Care.
Thank you for fixing that. I was able to delete some photos and a group that was no longer active... so thanks :)

This is happening again!!! I cannot delete photos and worse yet I get Bad Requests on Visiting Yahoo Groups, I AM TIRED OF THIS ****!!!! Please Fix it NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!
I still can't delete photos in my albums - just select ones, not all of them have the option for delete. How about skipping the engineers and just bring back the old format that worked.
please delete marriedswingerclub
As a moderator of several groups, i have found that the new page look is difficult to work. One issue that we are having is that since the new page look came into effect, Our cover page pictures were all deleted and there is no way to put them back. There was, at the beginning a place to move your mouse over and click on to add a picture, but it did not work. The message kept saying that you need to be a moderator to change or put up a picture. Funny, I developed these groups and it says that I still need permission. I thought I was the moderator? Any suggestions?

January 5, 2014, now able to remove members! Thank you!
not able to delete Bigcocksociety
I couldn't delete anything or anybody yesterday, but as of today (4 Jan) I can. So hopefully your group will soon follow, Cara.
As my co-moderator put it re another glitch thread:
It was probably the issue with the French group that made them shape up -
who wants to be subjected to the withering criticism by the French. :D

I tried unsuccessfully to delete some members from several groups that I moderate.
Remove a group member is still not working for me & my groups.
I, too, can confirm that the Leave group and other email management functions appear to be working well now.
Yahoo, in the future, please could we have more updates and, importantly, an indication of when you think the problem might be resolved? For a communication company, your customer relations, in this case, could have been a lot better and the anger and frustration so easily avoided.
We were able to remove members today! Also the activity logs appear to be legible again.
Thank you! Yahoo!.
Would be great to make those activity logs searchable now so they can really be useful as they were in the past.
