Directory is broken
Why are groups which are NOT in the adult section disappearing from the directory? I am a member of several advice groups, all in the NON-adult section of Romance & Relationships. Among them are
and my own group,
No one can find us, and all of the above except for my own group have had little or no activity since this started. Can we get these groups back into the directory?
Again, these are NOT in the adult section of Romance & Relationships.
It seems that Yahoo is removing all Categories!
I added all my groups in this directory (Just a back link is requested):

This is likely the only open, high profile issue on the group directory (category hierarchy). Yahoo seems to have no interest in maintaining the hierarchy. The vast majority of hierarchy nodes are not available for groups to be assigned to. There is no well defined process to maintain the hierarchy. (I can't recall that there ever has been one.)
It looks like the hierarchy has been largely abandoned. In the interim, moderators should ensure that their about pages include a reasonably large number of relevant search terms. Otherwise there is little hope that new groups will be found by prospective members.
It looks to me that there is an inherent problem with trying to force groups into a category tree. The problem is that for many groups there is no single place in the tree where they belong. (Is, for example, birding a branch of science or a recreational activity? It is both really.)
We need a good group directory with categories and subcategories as they used to be !
All groups are messed up in no order !
Could you at least put the groups by number of members so we dont get dead groups with 5 members on the first page ????
it is a general problems: the directories and subdirectories got lost !
The place we put a group when we created it has been lost.
Please recreate decent categories and subcategories and order groups according to number of members so we dont get dead groups with 5 members on the first page
Access to Adult Yahoo Groups here:
(From alphabetical Index)
This is a very serious problems
subdirectories have disappeared and groups are no longer properly ordered
prospective members cannot find and identify groups they might be interested in and join !

The category listing for many categories is incomplete. I don't know why.
