Odd issues with email-only member
I've been experimenting with adding members using the "email only" checkbox on the Invite page, to show folks that it can be done, that they don't have to be "bothered with" getting a Yahoo ID (their words, not mine). I created a brand new email address (elsewhere) for myself (let's call it "him"), then as moderator, added that new email, and everything worked as I'd expected.
While logged in as moderator, I clicked the "About" menu, and it showed I was logged in as "him" with email only privileges. Huh??? I was still able to access everything else as moderator. I tried everything I could think of, thinking I'd made a mistake somewhere, but the About display insisted that I was still him.
I then tried to remove that new member. It appeared to work, but when I went back to the member list, "he" was still there, and the About info still insisted that I was him. Tried that a number of times, until I actually "banned" him from rejoining. Now gone... but I'm afraid to unban him.
Now, to double check that I'm not him, I looked at "About" again. Now, it says, "Ooops! An error occurred while loading the content."
There appear to be two bugs here, but that may be just an illusion. Don't know.
If you are simply closing your browser when finished accessing your group you may still have a cookie showing you as logged in. If you return to the group before that cookie expires, you will be shown as logged in as the user you were last time you logged in. If you aren't logging out at the end of a session, begin doing so and this MAY cure your problem. It may be a pain in the rear to enter a password each time, but that's the price for logging in under different accounts to the same group... or so it seems to me.
