[Wants infinite scroll]
To whomever is in charge of this site: People want to be able to scroll down through all of the previous posts. In some cases, they HAVE to be able to do that -- as in my case. I want to go back to my earlier post, but I can't because it's beyond the 50 limit, or whatever the limit is. What that means is that I cannot get what I came here for -- important health advice -- so I might as well just leave.
Why on Earth would you put a limit on how far down one can scroll? On every single other forum I belong to, you can scroll through past posts indefinitely. Only after a long time are posts archived -- and even then you can usually access them.
Honestly, this site is a mess. It's as though a three year old was in charge of functionality.
No votes from me on this one. I don't want to scroll down to get to older posts. I want to read a thread in the order that the messages arrived
either FIX SCROLL
and let us return to the item we were on after clicking
(not going back to the top and having to scroll down all the way)
allow for successive PAGES
(would actually be better than infinite scroll)
because we could revert just to the previous page !

Here's an example of how this STUPID idea makes my job harder as an admin:
Because the page is constantly updating as you scroll or page down, as you are clicking the boxes of messages that you have to delete, the dynamic loading shifts the information so that suddenly, it responds to a box click as if you have clicked the link of a message. (Because you have to have your mouse EXACTLY on the box, and then a minor shift in the page....) The end result is you visit the message, and then you can
- delete the message if you want, but you get bounced back to thetop of the list, or
- click the Back button, in which case EVERY BOX you have previously checked is ZEROED OUT and you have to check them again.
These are three bugs in one, but infinite scroll is the WORST because it forces the user to have to deal with these two other bugs that they already know all about.

I, for one, DO NOT want infinite scroll! Have you ever had to go through 1000 messages and "Check All" to delete spam messages, only to have repeatedly un-check the messages you actually do have to keep? If you can go page-by-page, then you can "Check All", uncheck the desired - or vice versa, it really doesn't matter - and delete the offending messages without having to revisit over and over the same **** messages.
This was a STUPID request. What would have made it a smart requiest? Asking to configure how many messages you wanted to see on a page, be it 25, 50, 100, 500, or 1000. Infinite scroll is an infinite pain in the neck!
yes it is terrible not to be able to scroll down messages or also the list of members of the group

This is the four post complaining about being not being able to get to all their messages. Pages solved that. What is humorous is that this Yahoo feedback site has its PAGES numbered 1, 2, 3... on the bottom of the page! Is that because Yahoo wanted functionality? Why isn't this feedback on a scroll? Is it because the Yahoo staff knows they can't find what the question easily when one scrolls? I easily got to p. 3 to post this after going out and coming back in again.
Yahoo corporate doesn't get that if something works wrong, it becomes a focus of dissatisfaction. Then, they scratch their heads as to why people refuse to click on the ads but the lack of sales is because when people hate what's done to them, they leave or don't cooperate. Yahoo's lack of functionality is part of the failure of ads.
Infinite scroll works for me in Yahoo Groups.
