  1. A existing "feedback" item needs further attention - the "ME" problem must be addressed!

https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/210695-yahoo-mail/suggestions/6643183-the-to-me-from-me-glitch-is-back is an instance of several "feedback" items pointing out all kinds of reasons why the "me" change is inappropriate and unwanted. No one in Yahoo support has explained a) the apparent confusion within YAHOO MAIL about whether this is part of "conversations" or not or b) why <even in conversations> this is a good idea. Thanking us profusely for our input is not helpful; you are obviously ignoring many many users inputs and giving us lip-service in reply. Please reconsider this. How about an email with "change it/don't change" choices. Surely there is a tool at yahoo's disposal to…

Thank you for your feedback regarding this feature. We’re sorry for the lack of details we’ve provided regarding our decision on the matter, we cannot share internal decisions until they have been made public.

What we can tell you is that our engineers are looking into the best way to make the changes recommended (and voted on) by many of our customers, regarding the ‘conversations’ feature.

Stay tuned for new changes to come and thank you for continuing to use Yahoo Mail as we work to make it better than ever!

    • Yahoo.....PLEASE ...what is wrong with email? For DAYS now it is extremely slow trying to maneuver between functions; receive mail, go to

files, send, respond, you name it. Delete key won't respond, names wont populate "to"....And then....whew...for a few minutes it seems like it is all fixed AND THEN THE PROBLEMS reassert themselves. You tell me that nothing is detected that is wrong....but it is...yes, it opens after you type in password and everything looks "good",,,,BUT IS IS PRACTICALLY UNUSABLE!@ PLEAASE help us out here and look at these issues and get it fixed! Thanks for listening and reading this and ACTING on it. K

We’ve received reports that Yahoo Mail isn’t working correctly when accessed using Safari 5.0.6 on a Mac. These issues may include:

        • Buttons/icons don’t respond when clicked
        • Emails don’t opening or display a blank screen

Our Engineering team is aware of these issues and is working to fix them as quickly as possible.

There are a few workarounds that can be used to resolve this issue temporarily.

Switch to the Basic version of Yahoo Mail:

        http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN15090

        Using a different supported browser:

        http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN3257

Using the mobile version of Yahoo Mail:

        https://m.yahoo.com/mail

Thanks for your patience as we work to correct this problem.

      • A one click function to block email address

It should be easy to block email address. I don't know why this has not been implemented. Do you guys make money from it?

I don't want to have to go into settings. It's true spammers can just generate new email addresses, but at least that makes it slightly harder for them. And also an option to block their host.

        • Create a way to customize or disable 'Smart Views'.

They are in my way and useless to me as they are now. I don't search to things based on people or finance. I need information like open orders, policy updates, billing notifications. We have each learned to organize our emails in the way that suits us best and each way is as different we as individuals are from each other. 'One size fits all (or most)' methods really just irritate everyone because it's never quite right for anyone.

And so I repeat: The 'Smart Views' is in my way and if I can't customize it, I want to eliminate…

          • Autosuggest OPT OUT

Suggesting which contacts I want to add to my emails is very annoying and entirely unhelpful. I want the option to OPT COMPLETELY OUT of this feature rather than what I read on your "help" page which states that I can opt out of a particular email suggestion each time I add contacts to a message. This is frustrating. Please fix. I do not want yahoo to guess who I want to send a message to. It's my email and I know exactly who I want to add to the message.

ADD AN OPT OUT of autosuggest button under settings.

Thank you very for much for posting this feedback! We appreciate your input. As you point out, clicking the sender’s name from within the Sent folder does provide you with the option to add that address to your contact list. However, you should see this option for recipients as well. If you aren’t seeing the option to add to your contact list for a recipient it may mean that that address is already a part of your contact list.

For some additional information about accessing and editing your contact list I recommend taking a look at the following help article:

                  • What is going on with the search function in Yahoo mail?? I can only get results from the same day or a few days back. Please fix ASAP!!

Please fix whatever change you've made such that the search function only searches the most recent emails. If we are searching, its because we need an email much further back. This is painful!

We’re very sorry to hear you’re having this problem with spam in your Yahoo Mail account. If you start getting a lot of spam, this generally means that your email address has been added to a spam list — this can happen if you post your email address publicly on the Internet, if you enter it into a suspicious website, or if you reply to a spam email.

We suggest reading the Yahoo Mail Help article “Mark emails as Spam” for the best help resolving this problem. You can find the link to it below.

I choose not to have a Facebook account. I have two Yahoo email addresses with profile photos. I have received email from someone I don't know but with the same name as me and since then HER Facebook photo overrides my Yahoo profile photo on email that I send. I have been unable to force my Yahoo profile photo to email that I send. My contacts are very confused when they hover over my email address and see a stranger's photo.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having some trouble with the image associated with your email address in Yahoo Mail. If this image is incorrect you should be able to remove it by editing the details associated with your contact card.

After opening this menu you’ll see the option to ‘Edit’ where you can edit info and remove the picture that is displayed. Please take a look at the following help article for more information:

It sounds like you’ve accidentally increased the default text size of your Web browser. The easiest way to change it back is to press the Ctrl and 0 keys on your keyboard at the same time when you’ve loaded the Yahoo Mail page.

For more, we recommend reading the following Yahoo Mail Help article “Changing font size on Yahoo pages in your browser” for the steps you can take to make your text a normal size again. You can find the link to it below.

                                  http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN2937

We hope this helps you fix the size of the text on your screen!

                                • Let Yahoo! users use Mailbox.

I want to use the app Mailbox, which used to work with Yahoo! Mail. I would love to use this again as the app was really good at letting you keep your inbox organised. With Yahoo! withdrawing support for this app it's really spoiled things for me. I realise all this happened a long time ago, but I've missed some very important things due to the inability to link my Yahoo account to Mailbox.

We’re very sorry to hear that this app doesn’t work with Yahoo Mail, Sinky!

If this app connects to email accounts through IMAP or POP, then Yahoo Mail should theoretically work fine with it. All Yahoo Mail users have access to our POP and IMAP mail servers.

We recommend reading the following Yahoo Mail Help article “IMAP server settings” for the correct IMAP settings for Yahoo Mail:

                                  • Underline?

Can you guys add an underline option while composing messages? We have bold and italic, but for some reason underline is not available unless I am missing it.

                                      • Please give me a way to sort the eMail filters alphabetically or by date entered/modified.

I'm using eMail filters to automatically delete what I consider junk eMail. I'm probably approaching 100+ filters and I'd like a way to be able to sort those filters alphabetically or by date entered/modified so that I can quickly find the filter and refine/remove as necessary.

Either this or provide a feature that I can easily mark one/many eMails as "my junk" so that those will never be in my inbox.

                                        Thanks

Thanks for this suggestion, Gerald! One workaround for this problem is to number your filters, or categorize them. For instance you could use a name like “001 – Spam – C1al1s”.

I suggest reading the Yahoo Mail Help article “Mark emails as Spam” for more on how to easily train your Yahoo account to start sending these emails to the Spam folder without needing to use filters. You can find the link to it below.
