A one click function to block email address

It should be easy to block email address. I don't know why this has not been implemented. Do you guys make money from it?

I don't want to have to go into settings. It's true spammers can just generate new email addresses, but at least that makes it slightly harder for them. And also an option to block their host.

yes we need a block button and also a list of our blocked email addresses.
i realize we can just click on spam but it isn't convenient either, it's hidden in a menu. :(

I have 2 other email addresses with another service provider, and -0- spam emails. Seriously, I do not even recall if I have received one there.

I really do not wish to close this yahoo account.

It helps but is not a solution to SPAM the whole email address. The key is to block the domain, and Yahoo doesn't offer this, really!?!

Go to outlook mail and see how their BLOCK EMAIL function works and design your own so we can use it here in Yahoo.

there used to be a one click block button. It was actually UNimplimented. Now the spam filter doesn't work, even when you flag something as spam, you'll get the same thing 10 minutes later.

20 SPAMS an hour since I've posted my complaint/advice. Anyone reading this: don't expect any help, THEY DO NOT CARE.

There should be a mechanism available to permit Y! Mail users to block specific email addresses or entire domains regardless of whether or not they are specific email domains. Whether it is a business, individual, or other entity, you should have the ability to control who you get or don't get email from.

I agree it should be just a click to get rid of those horrible spam emails that are
        not wanted.
The emails about *** and petitions on them should be blocked.
Please do something about is just getting ridiculous to get 40 to 60 emails a day or so. Yahoo is getting real bad, maybe time to go to another provider

Yahoo seems determined to make it diffcult to use their email. Even if you pay for it....it doesn't help. Yahoo is the spammers dream.

Yes..where is the one click button to block for INSULTING spams that getting out of control. As more we click on 'unsubscribe.. as more seems to arrive a day or two after. Some sends out four or six about the same topic in 2 to 5 minute intervals. Many haven't include a link to unsubscribe or conveniently it doesn't work. And because of that explicit language used by some of the spammers, my guess is that one day Yahoo could end up court for damages, just like some of the tobacco giants, and I say: deservingly!!!

I to have been a long member of Yahoo mail! I started to think 500 addresses to block were a bit too much! Well, it did not take me more than two (2) week to maximize my count. I know Yahoo Rep's are thinking: What do you expect for nothing? Free mail service and you want to dictate: Right ~~~~ There is a cliche; You get what you pay for!

      • Anonymous commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

I to have been with Yahoo e-mail and have seen an extreme increase of unwanted listings!
At first I thought that 500 was a really high number of e-mails to block. Wrong- it took me only a little over a week to reach my "Maximum"! So sad that Yahoo's idea of cliche: 'You get what you pay for' is probably making them laugh at us the users. Maybe they are right. [For free-what can one expect?]

I am not able to get rid of my unwanted emails. nothing seems to work except that I MUST collect a bunch and move to SPAM. But. that doesn't end there - those same unwanted emails come right back the next day. I am going to find (if it still exists) another email system that will take care of this problem with little management from me!

A black list. That bounce the e-mail back, so the sender gets berried instead of me. Remove from list is counter productive. Isolation works for the first few times and we can then move the sender to our list.
