A one click function to block email address
It should be easy to block email address. I don't know why this has not been implemented. Do you guys make money from it?
I don't want to have to go into settings. It's true spammers can just generate new email addresses, but at least that makes it slightly harder for them. And also an option to block their host.
I get hundreds of Spam e mails a day. It is impossible to block each one because more will appear. There has got to be an option available to permanently block these senders with a simple click. Instead of just deleting the hundreds of Spam messages a day how about blocking them as you delete them .
I would like to see a better blocking system on yahoo mail Something like outlook express has Thanks
OOOPS , I FORGOT I CAN PUT A NAGGING PERSON'S EMAIL INTO 'SPAM !! :)
ad block feature on PC and mobile feature. trying to block each address via the settings is very tedious. This seems like an easy fix.. I appreciate this domain where I can voice my request.
Add the BLOCK on the tool bar with the "reply," "forward," "delete," "move,","spam," & "more." Just to be able to BLOCK with one click would be nice. Thanks.
Please add "BLOCK" to SPAM drop down box!!! When I use "Settings" to block: "email address is invalid" pops up . ADD "BLOCK" option like Outlook Mail offers!. Almost every day for several months, I receive 15 to 25 emails from the same sender written in some Asian language. I've sent hundreds to SPAM. Please BLOCK them!!!
I understand, as per your form responses on other Spam Filter-related posts, that spam "is constantly changing." However, I am receiving emails from senders flagged as Spam on a daily basis. The fact that the filter is not registering these addresses to automatically go to Spam is frustrating and continues to indicate to me that Yahoo Mail is lagging behind other providers like Gmail and Hotmail/Outlook. I can see by the myriad other posters this is an issued encountered by many users. Please address it or offer other, actionable solutions other than simply contacting Customer Care.
Set up your mail page with a block sender like HOTMAIL HAS. I get so many nasty, junk etc e-mails it would take me forever to list them all plus it almost impossible to go to your site to list them, then type the address and even then not sure if I listed them correctly. I SAY AGAIN, JUST ADD A TAB THAT WILL BLOCK THE SENDER FOR ME. THANK YOU
Do not save every email address I use because when I email to Craigslist for buying and selling, it creates too many auto suggestions for people I do not know.
allow a way to automatically add spam addresses to the blocked address list instead of manually entering them. I recently had to enter 61 addresses and more keep coming. The 500 allowed may not be enough.
Please make it easier to block unwanted emails. I have requested the max 200 blocks and I still get those same emails.
When a SPAM e-mail address is put into the Block box, do not allow that address to get into my account, not into any box, not SPAM box, not TRASH box, not any place in my account.
Need to make the blocking function an easy task instead of having to type every IP address in why not allow us to high light and click block!
Create a block button to block addresses My blocked addresses don't block anyway if they are not on contact list why are they even making to the spam box??? None of the filters do any good Why doesn't Yahoo. really do something besides busy work? They are pretty vulgar and yet they just keep coming does not matter what filter one uses or address to block as they have many!
You have a spam button, I would like a block button, so I don't have to click to get the domain name and then click on setting and the privacy to add. It would reduce the number of spam if we could just block them.
Put a block button at the top to kill that Spam like Outlook does .
mail that i do not want keeps popping up in spam and my inbox, it would be nice to have a option to block that mails.
65 spams to 10 good emails. Yahoo needs to add BLOCK junk mail like Hotmail/Outlook has. Repeat spam emails also for the 65 spam emails.
So they are in my spam folder but why can't I get things that have sexually explicit titles blocked. I don't want it to even make it to my spam folder at all. Seriously, they aren't even sneaky, it's blatant.
Make it easier to block email addresses - it should be as easy as moving the mail from one area to another!
Put a block button at top like MSN
Please put easy feature access to block mails, i want to block all mails in my spam.
Why not have "one click" to block annoying spam. I do not like having to type in the "spam" abusers address in the "block" field! Get with it Yahoo! Take a look at how hotmail addresses this issue!
As a user, I want to be able to tell yahoo when reporting an email as being spam, to block all other emails form that domain as being spams
I want a one click solution to permanently blocking junk and advertising e-mail.
Children use our family e-mial address and someone has been sending ADULT advertisements to Children's accessible e mail addresses with Yahoo.
There has got to be a one click solution to all these unwanted and unsolicited e-mails that we all get on Yahoo..like a better spam filter and we already pay for a premium service to stop this stuff...So make it easier to stop it or we will all change to Google or someone else.
There should be an option to "BLOCK" directly from the email message itself. It should be available on EVERY email message correspondence! There should be a Block button on every email sent and/or received.
Also, there should be unlimited amount when it comes to blocking email addresses. There should be no limit to the amt of blocked addresses.
Also, the "SPAM" folder should have a feature similar to hotmail. The spam folder should have the option to permanently block an email address.
In the Spam folder include a provision that when an email is deleted it is automatically blocked. Also a provision to block a domain. I get emails from different names at HARDERARCHER or OPENSAUVORY, There are others but those are two of the most common. Time spent to modify email program to incorporate these provisions would be very helpful to us users and save us a lot of time in entering each address separately to block the address.
Hotmail allows for the BLOCKING of individual e-mails from spammers! Yahoo just has you mark them as spam and they are sent to the spam folder. That isn't enough! While you're making the interface pretty, please make it easier for us to BLOCK spam!
Would it be possible to put the block address in a drop down menu? Would like this option without opening mail to block address.
When deleting your mail in your spam folder, it should automatically go into your blocked addresses folder. Then you never to deal with again. You.ve made the choice not to receive this spam so then it should be permanently blocked. There are some people out there with hundreds of e-mail address who contact anyone with a yahoo address. Not sure how they do this but there must be millions of address they contact continuously.
I get email from the same source constantly, and it's not even addressed to me. At least in Outlook, I can block the sender and/or the IP address. With Yahoo, it just keeps going in my Spam folder. I get almost one of these emails daily, if not more often.
Have a feature to adequately "BLOCK" unwanted spam. DO NOT have an offer for a customer to pay $49.99 to block spam.
Can you add an automatic 'block' button to the Spam folder? Hotmail do this already and this means I get 1 spam email a week there, compared to 40 spam emails a DAY in my Yahoo.
I get way too much spam. You guys need to have an option, to block senders, above and beyond the 500. I have 500 blocked, already. The amount of spam that I receive is ridiculous, let alone the occasional ones that sneak in my inbox.
Years ago, Yahoo Mail had a simpler way to block senders by having it as an option in the drop-down menu (I think it was under More), so you didn't have to write down the address, go deep into your account settings, and manually enter it. This worked great for blocking spam further than just having it go to the spam folder.
Also, I would like you to bring back the option to delete Spam immediately, instead of having the minimum setting be one week in the spam folder.
Automatic block feature - too time consuming to keep entering individual address
selecting a message should give you the option to add it to your blocked senders list instead of having to manually enter it in the list most of the time you cant even figure out the address the message came from because yahoo has a bug that doesn't display the senders address.
Need a BLOCK button, next to the SPAM button, to BLOCK the numerous SPAM email addresses that arrive in my business mailbox daily with the press of a button, instead of the multiple steps that it takes to complete this task now. I would pay for this feature!
I get a lot of job emails from recruiters on late nights eve weekends anytime just to keep distracting me from doing whatever work or project I am currently assigned to and need this behavior from external entities to stop as per my convenience.
Please allow only known senders on the users allowed safe mailing list to send messages, all other unknown emails should go to spam folder and not to users inbox.
Also provide an option to block emails from unknown senders when needed.
In the main mail window, there should be an automatic button like the search, delete, and star icons to automatically add an address to the blocked sender list and simultaneously delete the message without having to open it or copy the email address. What a pain to go through so many steps to block a sender. And if you have to open the message, that may also flag your account to the bot that they can keep sending spam. I am getting SOOOOO much spam in my inbox on yahoo now that I'm considering switching email accounts.
right now I have to check each spam sender individually, right click to add filter then copy sender's address then close, then open settings, then block sender, then paste address and save. when you have 50 overnight no one has that kind of time to block them all. help us out.
Hotmail/outlook has a simple block for unwanted mail and spam. With all Yahoo can do why not just a simple BLOCK to not receive unwanted emails/spam.. Thank you
At least twice a week I am unable to access my mail due to some dumb technical glitch. As well, some scum of the earth piece of **** spammer has gotten my email address and I will get 5 messages with the same "sender" name and same subject, but from 5 different domains. And when you block those, more come in from a different address on the same domain. Typically in an 8-10 hour period I get over 100 spam messages on average. in 24 hours I can get more than 400. Most sexually explicit. I do not have time to go through your stupid process of going into settings and blocking each email one at a time. Especially when it doesn't make a difference. I have a filter set and the best it can do is send it to trash When it works. Which is about half assed. I really wish there was a one click way to block spam completely, not just send it to trash. Some messages I send to spam because they crowd my inbox but I still want the information they contain. So weeding through all the idiotic **** to get to relevant things is a massive headache for me. I have been with yahoo email for years, but unless some improvements are made, I am considering just abandoning this email and moving everything over to Gmail.
You need to come up with better and easier ways of blocking and filtering SPAM. Outlook does a pretty good job. Im set to exclusive. I tried to block something today and it said I exceeded 200. So now if I go in and start deleting "unused" blocks to install new ones who's to say the ones I just deleted wont come right back? I liken it to chasing ones tail. It seams that when you block something the sender changes it slightly and bam right back into my spam box. I should be able to simply select "block **** like this" and click bam gone. Do I just let my spam box explode? I erase daily. No I don't want black or asian dating, no I'm not married and lonely, no I don't want a degree from Florida or Kaplin university, no I don't want to here from TARA and her *** escapades! Enough. Please do something to ward off these parasites. If I want something Im certainly not gonna get it of some interweb scum.
I want a one click icon to block all un wanted e-mails without having to open them on a mobile device or go the junk folder and delete them...I want these un wanted senders blocked permanently with one click like moving other e mails to a new folder or added to the spam blocker with that one click icon to block this sender is un wanted...
As a company then you can block all these un wanted spam e mails for all your customers.
How the heck do you block email addresses? With hotmail you click the box next to the email, and there's a block option. With Yahoo, I cannot figure it out. I only have the option to delete the email which does nothing for me because I literally get 200 spam emails a day. I'll delete one, refresh the page, and there will be another one there. It's frustrating.
We need a BLOCK email/sender button so we can control who sends us spam or other unwanted trash mail. I don't want advertisements for prono garbage in my inbox. our inboxes are suppose to be private. Not an open dump box for businesses to have access too.
Your process to block email addresses is utterly cumbersome and possible dangerous since I have to open the email to get the spammers address. This leaves me wide open to hacking or viruses. Considering that Yahoo has the MOST spam of any email address I use, you need to have a simple, one-step method to block junk mail.
Please make a button where you can block SPAM all at once instead of having to enter each address.....I tried dozens of times to "unsubscribe" but that doesn't work! I will delete my account if I keep getting 100's of spam messages per day!
block all email addresses that are spam to prevent bs emails to be continually sent by the same or like person I get several emails per day by someone who wants to **** a milf and this is *********** at its finest that needs to be permanently blocked
DEAR SIR/MS, YOUR COMPETITOR OUTLOOK HAS A FUNCTION AT THE TOP OF THE EMAIL BAR: WITH "MOVE" AND "DELETE" WE NOW CAN DO AND "BLOCK." UPGRADE YOUR PAGE SO WE CAN DO SO NOW, FOR LIFE WILL SO MUCH BETTER FOR ALL OF US AND WE ARE HAPPY. PUT "BLOCK" ON THE TOP BAR NOW WITH ALL THE OTHER FUNCTIONS. HCOOPER
Block option for spam mail - hotmail offers option to block spam -
direct blocking person option on email drop down menu (Move)
Add a "Block" button for each email; current process is way too cumbersome. And it is important to let the sender know they have been blocked to thwart such activity
I want to block the mountains of disgusting, ******, ***** spam. I don't want to see it - even in my Spam folder. But, I don't want to click on the email to get the email address so I can block it. Give me an easy blocking option or I'm leaving Yahoo. (Really - Yahoo should do this, I shouldn't have to see this junk at all)
I have over 500 blocked spam. They just change there address. There has to be a way for you to just remove the SPAM folder from my account. I get 60+ from WHORES every day. I thought is was not legal to solicit *** over the phone, internet, street corners or any other way, but your allowing it to happen. WHY WHY WHY
Please tell me how to do this. It seems so cumbersome to have to open the email, copy the address, and then go paste it into the blocked list.
I just want to click on button to block someone without having to copy and paste one at a time.
A block button would be nice. I am in the process of deleting my yahoo account because of the spam.
You could certainly give us a "block" option. I've asked Yahoo to block certain emails like MSN allows you to do. To no avail!!! I'm sick of getting spam from some idiots that send the same email every day, two and three times a day. BLOCK them PLEASE!
When I click on something and show it as spam I want it BLOCK. I don't want to see it in my inbox or spam folder.
You used to be so much better with this a year ago.
I get sick and tried of these spam: mail order brides, inhance *** drive, inlarge *****, Buy watches, and I WANT to date you and see my pictures..
I want to block an email address by "right click" on the senders email address and click on the (now non existing) "block this email address".
Can you arrange this functionality?
I want to select an e-mail and then have the option to block the e-mail. Right now I have to go through a few steps including copying the e-mail address to block an e-mail and some e-mails I don't want to open
In the email list pane to the right of the sender name/address are 3 icons. Search, Delete and Mark important. It would be nice to have an icon for "Add sender to blocked list".
I've been receiving spam from some particular e-mail addresses for the last 5 years. Why shouldn't I have the option of blocking them or for that matter choosing to stop receiving all such e-mails. A block/unsubscribe button is the need of the hour.
We want to love Yahoo mail like we did it years ago. Please don't make us jump to the google bandwagon.
Add a quick button "permanently block e-mail address" to the spam folder.
- Icon to quickly permanently block unwanted e-mail addresses in the spam folder
I am tired of receiving all those ****** emails from wanting *** to making my ***** harder etc.. These should be band as child **** is band. Yahoo has tied our hands by making it very hard to block people. Nor has it attempted to screen out these type of emails Yahoo give us back an easier way to block emails
I am tired of all the *** messages that i did not ask for..I have kids that use this account. right now its hard to block these messages.. You all should make it easiser..
on the drop down menu on Yahoo mail there should be a option to block future unwanted e mail from my inbox as a lot of it is offensive.
How about a simple "Block this sender" option for all the junk that shows up in my inbox/spam folders every day???
We should be able to have the block email option on the drop downs available in the email box. We should not have to go to settings and paste the email address there just to block an address. Thanks.
ONE BUTTON BLOCK SENDER PLEASE!!!!
as solution for this problem, those doesn't work.
Shame you Yahoo engineers(sorry spam supprters) you are the worst.
Block this web address!!!!!
i have filtered so many spammers...they come back too easy.
I use "from" contains for example Lexington Law or Lexington.Law and these *** are back an hour later withe the same address...HOW can that be if its suppose to be a filter
Yes, please Yahoo. Now this would be a worthwhile feature, unlike most of the others you have rolled out in recent months...

This has also become an issue for me as I have received over 500 spam emails this month. Why so many? I've enacted all the controls that I know to stop this, but to no avail. The only option that I have is to make my GMAIL address my main email and eliminate Yahoo.
Yes, we need this. We need to be able to just click the box to enable a block option.

There should be a Blocked Permanently Box as well as the delete Spam. (as a given anything a person puts in Spam should block that sender from sending any other spam to you
I am getting the feeling Yahoo is behind the spam and that is the reason, Blocking it does no good, it will turn around and come in three or four more times in the same day.
Please Stop Spam. I am up to about one thousand in the spam folder since the June 2 date. Hope you like the way it is filling up your data bases.
(I have never opened anything from anyone I do not personally know already. So none of the spam was requested ever. Wish all the *** perverts would get laid and quit bothering my e-mail account.

this email is disturbing all the time sending me spam email so i want this email to be block.
The one thing you have to remember about Yahoo email. Filtering your spam mails just doesn't work. Marissa Mayer doesn't give a rats butt about you and your problems with spam in your email. I can attest to that. I have added filters to my spam emails and they don't work. Why I do not know, but Marissa does. She stated late last year that she didn't care about users of Yahoo, only the investors. Now I do agree that the investors do need to be kept happy but we the users to be happy too. I people started leaving Yahoo and going to say MSN, then wouldn't the investors be unhappy?

I agree, I think anything we as individuals mark as Spam, Should go the Spam Folder, and then there be a Block permanently button that we could click to stop this FOREVER, from coming in to our inbox again. I to am a female who constantly gets viagra, Cialis, Come and chat with me baby junk and sales pitches for anything from hemroid cream to *** creams to toys to lawyer. I too tried the look at and then block, only to have them sneak in another way. If you open them and enter unsubscribe, You in turn get about 30 more spam letters from some where else. I think they sell the listing. I used to go in two time a day and delete this stuff. But am tired of doing so. SO now I will just let it back up your system. Maybe then you will figure out a way to stop the JUNK MAIL, SPAM. Thank you for trying to make the harassing e-mails stop. Somehow, Sometime in the future.
"Carla" keeps wanting me to lick her. I am a 60 year old grandma. I do not know Carla. I do not want to lick her. Have blocked. Doesn't work. There have been others. I also do not need/want any Viagra or Cialis. Can't make it stop. Can you help me make it stop?

Although I have reported repeated spam from Russia - domain using random letters in the format *****@*****.notifygate**.ru Yahoo have totally ignored my request for them to investigate the senders. The ** after notifygate is a number somewhere between 62 and 75. All these Spam emails from Russia contain an attachment, I refuse to open them, they are obviously Phishing or Video attachments in these Spam emails. Please act before you lose all your customers. You are putting our ID at risk.
I am looking toward blocking incoming "IP addresses". You can find them in "Full Header". Just have not figured out how, but it can be done. Yahoo should have that answer, but..........??????

Going into settings doesn't work either. An alert appears indicating "Sorry, there was an error saving your blocked email addresses".
This idea is a "No Brainer"! Come on Yahoo! For God's sake Yahoo, I'm tired of emptying my spam box! And we should be able to flag just the @domainName.com too! Step it up a notch Yahoo! I mean WTH
I have "Blocked" 367 domains. Their ever changing keeps them coming. I have "Filtered" as per Yahoo, well over 200. When filtering a new one, it comes up as successful. Many come back as "Filter already exists". So this is not working. And I put in many to labeling as "Phishing and Scam" as per Yahoo. You never know if this works or not. Yahoo does not respond. I think if Yahoo would implement a "Block" for e-mails coming from specific physical addresses, the majority of our problems would be solved. --- Country, City, State, P.O.Box, Street addresses. These are listed in most of those e-mails. If not there, they are in the "Full Header".
we should be able to block e-mail spammers who use the tactic of adding characters to their address please you should blocked this address firstname.lastname@example.org it's spam mail he use to defraud people and i don't want this above address contact me again in this address email@example.com
please help me blocked this address firstname.lastname@example.org
not only am i getting more spam than ever before, but now i am getting it in other languages. what's up with that? did YOUR spam filter get compromised? YAHOO! used to be very good. now, with some of your changes, spam is flying in at an alarming rate.
