  2. Too many clicks to see photo details

When you click a photo there should be a way to see the details. With the current change you need to click the photo and then click the photographer to get to their stream, then re-click the photo you were just looking at to see the details. Suggest adding an icon (i) maybe, on the banner at the bottom where you click favorite, forward etc. so you can jump directly to the narrative and EXIF, location etc.

  3. front cover

I think it would be great ,if we had the option of a front cover for our photosream . Many members have a great amount of photos in their photostreams and tend to take photos of varius subjects wich change after sometime . The consept of the front cover is simple . You got a page (lets say no more than 50 photos ), where a personal selection of your photos is showcased in order to show other flickr members the range of your work . eg Your personal favourites of your photostream or one photo of each place you…

  4. Unable to favorite or comment in Photostream when Multiple photos

When 2 or more photos are displayed from the same person there is no option to favorite or comment. You need to open these in a new window to do this. Better to be able to do this from the Photostream main page as before. This still works for single photos just not when there are 2 or more from the same person

  5. Where has the 'edit' option gone in the user's photostream options?

The 'edit' button seems to have disappeared from the photostream user options, so we just see the 'densely-spaced' photo view without the option to go to edit mode and see photo stats, for example.

    Another 'improvement'?!

The edit photo feature on the Flickr photo page is currently disabled pending an upgrade. The older version of Aviary that was being used stopped working last weekend, and Adobe is working with us to upgrade to the latest and greatest version of Aviary.

This means that after a brief delay (while we get the update in place), you’ll have access to a more stable, more feature rich photo editor to complement your Flickr experience!

Sorry for the inconvenience of this unexpected upgrade, but we’re confident it will be worth the wait. Please review this help article for more information: http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN28158.

  6. Way too many large photos when I open my main page .. much too confusing to concentrate on a single photo with al the rest saying me me me

When I open my page it is much too confusing to concentrate on a single photo with all the rest of those too large photos saying me me me !!! ... and the constant scrolling to get anywhere ... is not only annoying but tedious .... do you people go out of your way to constantly annoy us with every brilliant scheme and change? ... HERE is a very simple plan a monkey could figure out .... put out a BETA format and let every paying customer vote! ... I am not the only one paying out of my pocket…

  7. New format

To comment on multiple posts.... you have to leave the stream... then can't return to same place... have to start again at the beginning... very slow... not intuitive... hard to use.

  8. Photostream needs a MAKEOVER!

I believe Flickr's Welcome Page needs a major make-over. Two important things:

    1) If you're following 500+ users, it's really inconvenient scrolling down to go through all the new photos the followers may have posted. Even my mice screams at me to not abuse its wheel.

[Suggestion]: Instead of one photo per scroll, have a collage with different sizes of photos, the more interesting the photo, the bigger it's size -- but not too big to take over an entire page. Just a nice, clean and collective collage layout on the mainpage to checkout the new photos from the followers…

  9. Used to be able to get a list of top 200 photos in order by faves, views, and comments. What gives?

What happened to the "popular" option under "my photostream"?? Used to be able to get a list of my top 200 photos ranked by views, comments, or faves. Where is it now? Or is getting rid of it another "improvement"?

  10. Remove or provide alternative on mosaic feature in collections

When creating collections of work, the only option for a cover image for that collection is a mosaic.

This creates a random assortment of images from albums within the collection. For a professional photography page, this looks horrible when displayed on my website. Not only does the resulting image come out small, it looks very cluttered and unorganized. I would like the option to add my own single photo cover option of my choice just like albums.

Also, for users who like the mosaic option, the ability to choose your own photos from albums would be greatly preferred over relying…

  11. Better / special view for panorama's

When we watch a panoprama, it's shown very small. I think panarama's should get a special treatment for this, so it will show from one side, to the other side of the screen, and it will actually looks huge and impress people. So the effort and effect of a panarama is actually translated into the eyes of the people.

  12. fullscreen

Please provide an ACTUAL fullscreen mode.
If I hit on the button in the upper right that implies full screen, it only fills my browser window, *not* my actual screen. Tried this on Win 10, Chrome and Brave.

Viewing pictures on Flickr in their full glory is just not possible without downloading them first.

  13. Stop making the view jump when I'm looking at the photos (as a page view) it defeats the point.

Stop the page view from jumping (refreshing) around while it's being looked at.

  14. Move the Comment Box

Currently, the comment box is below all a photo's previous comments. This is inconvenient as one has to scroll right to the bottom of a page in order to post a comment on a photograph.

I think it would save a lot of time if the comment box for photos was moved above all the photo's previous comments.

  15. Flickr need to stop asking me for a recovery e-mail adress when I already have two.

Every time I try to access flickr it keeps asking me to add an e-mail address for account recovery. However I already have two different addresses added to my account. So can you please stop bugging me about this?

  16. Do not put a footer at the bottom of an infinitely scrolling page

There are various places where a page incorporates both infinitely scrolling content and a footer with links that the user may want to access. Those two paradigms do not work together. An example is the main page, https://flickr.com when logged in. As I scroll down to get to a link in the footer, more content loads in pushing the footer below the fold. This makes the footer inaccessible and unusable on the page.

    Possible Solutions:
    * Move the footer to a side menu or a menu accessible from a header bar. Anywhere where the content will not be scrolled out…

  17. More control over photostream appearance

Giving users absolutely no control over how their photos are presented on the first page everyone sees is bizarre.

Even just some basic options like how the photos are tiled, or the spacing between photos would be great.

You only have to look at the number of users who manually add a white border to their photos, in order to make their photostream look better, to know this would be well-received.

Simply bunching as many photos into the space as possible in a dynamically resized window just isn't enough for people that care about how their photos are presented.

  18. fix the banner window

If you won't fix the banner window repositioning (which you are obviously in no hurry to do, despite many complaints), at least let the user remove the banner so that our profiles aren't tarnished by Flickr's inability to fix a simple thing.

  19. I don't like that my older albums are no longer available. I also don't like archiving, photos are wanted even if more than 5yrs old.

I would prefer that all my albums would continue to be available via the album link. We already have paging so there's no reason that old albums should disappear. There is no way to get to the old albums.

Yes, I can locate my old photos by date in the archive section, but no longer can I get to the whole album group which would cover many dates and might even only select some of my favorites from each date.

Even if there is a valid technical reason to archive these albums, there should be a way to get to…

  20. advertising sucks when it prevents viewing images in group pool

Advertising is a necessary evil; but it really sucks and is counter-productive when the advert blocks photos in the pool. Please provide a simple way to acknowledge the ad and then move on. please limit the ad views.
