If you need assistance of any kind, please visit our community support forum or find self-paced help on our help site. This forum is not monitored for any support-related issues.

The Yahoo product feedback forum now requires a valid Yahoo ID and password to participate.

You are now required to sign-in using your Yahoo email account in order to provide us with feedback and to submit votes and comments to existing ideas. If you do not have a Yahoo ID or the password to your Yahoo ID, please sign-up for a new account.

If you have a valid Yahoo ID and password, follow these steps if you would like to remove your posts, comments, votes, and/or profile from the Yahoo product feedback forum.

Tell us how we can improve your Flickr experience.

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Option To Go Back To Previous Style

You keep making changes that get worse and once we get used to the new change you make another. The new recent activity is horrible and not user friendly. It was nice to have the notifications and newly uploaded pics in one spot now i have to go into another area to look at notifications. In the old design it was easy to like we didn't even have to click on the image to like it and there were thumbnail views of multiple uploaded pics we could choose to look at IF we wanted to, this is just a bunch…

  2. Please stop with putting "recommended" photos from random people in my feed. I only want to see my friends and family not the whole world!!!

Please do not put "recommended" photos in my feed. It is annoying!!! Please stop! You didn't even ask if we wanted this!

  3. Provide a way to remove GROUPS from my Flickr Feed

The new Flickr Feed page is TERRIBLE. I don't want to keep up the random posts to a ton of groups. I do want to keep up with a very SELECT group of PEOPLE I follow--there's a big difference between the two. The developers can go off on their merry tangents, just give us a way to arrange things the way WE like. Seem's fair enough to me!

  4. Photo travel planning

Hi Flickr Team! This is an idea how to improve the Flickr service and to create value add for people / photographers planning a photo trip: In addition to text comments and faves there should be another button which adds selected geo tagged images automatically to a map ( e.g. from Here) . After having finished adding several images to this background map the result is a gpx trail with all the individual selected images in addition. So it will be easy to plan a furture trip to the same locations other FLickr users have been before. Such a feature…

  6. Where is Aviary?

I no longer see "EDIT PHOTO IN AVIARY" when I click where it tells me to edit my photos. Is Aviary gone? If so WHY is it no longer available?

  7. Limit the number of groups each photo can be added to

Many photos are added to as many as 1,000 groups, even if the photos are completely irrelevant to the groups. This has become a huge problem for group administrators, requiring either a queue or constant attention to what is in the group.

There used to be a limit to the number of groups any one photo could belong to. Eliminating that limit drastically increased spammers ability to mass share their content. Please restore that limit.

  8. Create a Group Founder Category For All Groups

This has been brought up, discussed, and requested repeatedly over the last decade, yet Flickr has done absolutely nothing to fix the situation and address the issues with rogue administrators that at some point just take over a group and will not cooperate with any of the other admins who are trying to keep the group on track with its intended purpose!

As a group founder you may or may not have experienced this issue as of yet, but if you have granted admin privileges or intend to grant admin privileges to any member of your group, be forewarned that…

  9. FLICKR NEEDS A DUPLICATE FINDER

FLICKR NEEDS A WORLD CLASS DUPLICATE FINDER
So I have just upgraded to the PRO as I have decided that FLICKR will be the reference library for all the family photos. I had already uploaded about 30K images (which took days - but I expected that). from my mac. However I then decided that I would upload any images on my wife's laptop and all the phones. Unfortunately despite the fact that FLICKR says it doesn't upload duplicates a good number have slipped through the net. On my mac it's easy I just fire up PHOTOSWEEPER and I can easily…

  12. Request to Flickr: set the default for "Downloading" and "Share" to DISabled

At this moment "downloading" on the All Sizes page is by default set to *enabled* (from our Settings: *anyone*)
This is also the case for the Share feature in our Settings.

In my opinion this gives the wrong message; the interpretation that "free to download" equals "Free to use" is an easy step.
Same with Sharing: why would you be allowed to slap an image just anywhere you like, without taking into consideration that the photographer may not endorse that particular blog or site ?

Flickr could be an innovator, curbing this if-it's-on-the-net-it-is-free-to-take mentality by turning the default around: no,…

  13. NEED Google Maps

Switch to Google Maps on flickr.com

The photo info screen of the mobile app displays geotagged location in Google Maps.

It's infuriating that the mapping/location page of the website is not powered by Google Maps. The current mapping system is very limiting and embarrassingly inferior. Please consider upgrading to Google Maps!

    Thank you.

  14. Make Explore Great Again

Maybe make the criteria to get into Explore less opaque?

Flickr guards this like it's KFC's seven spices, but that just frustrates users over seemingly senseless, unstated rules. If photos with borders are not permitted, why not state that? If adding photos to lots of groups lowers its viability, why not tell users that? It's ridiculous.

No wonder people resort to following thousands of accounts for exposure - that seems to be the only surefire way to hit Explore, while everyone else's photos are only seen by their followers and people who browse group pools.

  15. Add like (or heart) near favs button

I'd like to have two buttons next to the other users' photographs: a "like" and a "favs" (the same used by 500px). The "Like" (or heartin 500px) button is useful to communicate that picture like but do not want to put it among their favorites.
Without "like" the number of the favorites become huge and useless for any personal research.
    Thank you.
    Max.

  16. Groups have no owners

Groups whose owners were deleted or otherwise abandoned the group leaves it in a state that excludes owner permissions. Spammers join and abuse the group email with no way to stop it. Also, people aren't able to be approved for membership when required.

There needs to be way for moderators and members to gain/upgrade to ownership in event there is no owner or the current owner(s) haven't been active in the group for a period of time.

    Please fix this.

  17. Too many clicks to see photo details

When you click a photo there should be a way to see the details. With the current change you need to click the photo and then click the photographer to get to their stream, then re-click the photo you were just looking at to see the details. Suggest adding an icon (i) maybe, on the banner at the bottom where you click favorite, forward etc. so you can jump directly to the narrative and EXIF, location etc.

  19. Present great Flickr Groups in the Weekly Flickr

There are some awesome groups in Flickr that do more than just collecting photographs. It would be great to present some of these groups in the Weekly Flickr blog.
I'm part of the admin team of Flickr's 100 Best (https://flic.kr/g/dhB69L). It is the Hunger Game of Flickr and has a limited pool of 100 awesome photographs of all kind. Over 10'000 members challenge the actual pool photographs to get theirs in. Our group is highly active with over 50 challenges a month.
Besides the fun aspect, members get a serious and constructive critique in our group and fantastic…
