Information in profiles?
Why is the information such as gender, age, location /region gone in the profiles?

Why is Age and gender so important? This is not a dating site! We're here to display our work and appreciate other photographers work, so age and gender are completely irrelevant. Do you think people will not look at your work because you're the wrong age or gender? Will you not bother with viewing or following other members work because they're the wrong gender or age?
Besides, most people post pics of themselves in their photostreams. A lot of people use pics of themselves as their buddy icon. Member's first names are usually self explanatory. So why can't you take the time and figure out gender and approximate age from this information if it's that important to you?

If a member opted to make personal information available, why did Flickr opt to hide it? I couldn't disagree more with Mathew's proclamation regarding a members ***.
The new profile, or lack there of is awful. You don't even get to see anything about the person just some popular photos of theirs.

we've lost information and gained seeing our own pictures in this area......why?? Just WHY??
Flickr asks us what we think
........ annd then simply ignores us. Le sigh.
"Profiles got a makeover. We really want to know what you think."
Nobody is waiting for this,we do not want this kind of changes!
go back to the old profile page it worked
