Yahoo Mail Basic

Basic Mail provides base functionality like reading and writing messages, but does not include many of the advanced options. To use these features, we recommend upgrading to full-featured version of Yahoo Mail.

Tell us how we can improve your Yahoo Mail – Basic experience. The more specific your feedback, the more useful for us. While we can’t respond to every suggestion, we review regularly and take them very seriously. Our Guidelines have more on how you can give great feedback.

  3. I like the old basic version. Prefer my own password to sign in. also, only want email from my list of contacts

Password and sign in is better.
I do not like receiving emails from advertisers. I only want emails from people and companies I have put into my contact list.
It is too time consuming to weed all the junk mail out.

  7. Stop the verification account key on "EVERY" sign in. The box is "NOT" checked......

Remove the "Key" for every sign in. Also uncheck the box as default for "keep me signed in" The box in setup is not checked for two step varification so why require a "KEY" evertime...

  11. A few months ago Yahoo insisted I change my passwords to a more secure system..

Now I have forgotten my passwords to my 20 year old account that I never forgot in twenty years... Now,I am being told I can't access the account because it is so secure Yahoo can't get me into it...WTF... This is not progress... If I had my old password I would stillbe able to get into it...and so would yahoo... Now nobody can... HELP ME... I want my account....

  12. Allow similar passwords when changing them.

You annoy us with e-mail because YOU, Yahoo!, compromised our data. (Or was that AT&T or whatever company ownes you this week?) So, when I voluntarily go in to make a change THAT I CAN REMEMBER to my e-mail password, you reject it because it's too similar, even if it's different, to the one I had previously...you know, the one that was secure for almost TWENTY YEARS until you messed me up. You're sending me messages you're stopping login attempts. Good. If someone is trying to log in, and it's not me, and it's from a device I wouldn't use,…

  14. Please stop asking me to authenticate my identity via my phone. That's what my password is for. I waste so much time.

Please, please, I do not have time to waste when I log in, to wait for a code to be sent to my phone or alternative address. My password is pretty safe. Please, it is so annoying and burdensome. This is my main private account, but if it continues to be such a burden to log in, I will have to get one in google.

  15. Everytime I log in, it asks for recovery email address even though I already set one

Everytime I log into my email account, it asks me for a recovery email address even though I already set one and asks me for a mobile phone number. I put in a phone number, and of course, it still asks me for a recovery email address and phone number. It used to do it occasionally, but now it's every time. If it keeps this up, it will be the last straw, and I'll give up yahoo!

  17. IF you want us to change our password on our accounts, it would help alot IF you would accept the new password that we enter!

IF you want us to change our password on our accounts, it would help alot IF you would accept the new password that we enter! People with head injuries & memory issues have a hard time learning new things & have a limited number of things that we are able to be sure to remember to use as passwords!
Incidentally...since you are pulling this nonsense on both of my Yahoo accounts, you can forget about replying to my yahoo e-mail since it looks like you will not allow me access to either one of them! Much better that you respond…

  18. Password

I should not have to change my password. This is something that should be up to me if I want to keep the one I have. This is just really a way to try to get my phone number by saying if I forget.

  20. Unable to open mail if traveling to another country provided a telephone number is given and you are unable to use that phone number while

I am unable to open my mail when traveling to another country due to yahoo security issue. I have provided my phone number. So when I login from a different country, yahoo is doubtful and prompt to send a code to the registered mobile number. What if I don't use my registered phone in the country where I am travelling ?. My registered phone may not work in a different country. That means you are lost the access if you provide your mobile number. SO DO NOT PROVIDE YOUR MOBILE NUMBER
