Basic Mail provides base functionality like reading and writing messages, but does not include many of the advanced options. To use these features, we recommend upgrading to full-featured version of Yahoo Mail.

  1. GO BACK TO THE BASIC VERSION OF YAHOO MAIL OR GIVE AN OPTION!

    Your new version of Yahoo Mail is H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!!!!! Why would you take away something that has worked for so many years and try to fix it with garbage??? At least give the option to use the Basic Mail....the new version is so really pathetic!!!

    What the **** happened to my AT&T emails? My account is gone!!!! I cannot access it via the Yahoo emails (which just shows yahoo emails, but not my att emails). When I go to my AT&T account it puts me back into the yahoo emails. Where the **** is my AT&T account!!!! I had it for years until yesterday. What did you guys do!!!??? I cannot get to a person here but am caught in a stupid selection ****

  4. I'm done. This new email is ****!!!!!!!! I can't do anything with it

    Now I really am going to find another email system. This is worthless. You can't do anything with this junk like you could with the old system. It's a real shame because I've had yahoo mail for a really long time. I'll take all of my emails somewhere else. I'm tired of fighting this. This "new" system is a BIG step backwards.

  5. tab metaphor was reason to use yahoo mail

    "new" basic mail is a reason to leave yahoo mail
    the tab metaphor to have multiple messages open at the same time was a key reason to use yahoo mail.
    The next message and previous message buttons are greyed out in win 7 ie11 and or missing entirely.
    I guess it is time to move to Hotmail as my primary

  6. New mail also makes Freedom of Information-related communication difficult.

    In addition to the new email format being counterintuitive and too light to read easily, to and from emails with the same party require choosing that feature. When dealing with Freedom of Information requests, etc., the continuity of communication must be seen and as free from manipulation as possible.

    Also, when forwarding email - for example, the email address was wrong and you do not want to have to rewrite everything - you have to reinsert the addressee.

  12. Old Version

    Don't even bother. There is absolutely nothing you or anyone else can do to improve upon the basic(old) version. Everything you have done to date is visually distracting and visually inefficient. If the designs you have encumbered your customers with were translated into traffic flow floor plans for a retail or restaurant environment you would be fired on the spot. Word... otherwise, you're doing a great job. Smile!

  16. How can you improve the basic version of Yahoo mail, you can leave it just like it is. Plain old basic version.

    Basic Yahoo mail is just fine. Quit forcing the change on me to a new look and feel periodically when I log in. Your newer versions are ****. An inbox and the ability to have folders to move stuff to is all you need in email.
