The weather channel applet always shows "Elk Grove, CA" as my current location. To my knowledge, this computer has never been in Elk Grove. That's where my ISP has a switching center. I live many miles north of there, in Sacramento, CA.
Can you please fix the applet so I can turn off "current Location". It is, maybe, a good idea for portable devices, but for large, bulky, seldom moved PC desktops it makes no sense. I'm not surprized it doesn't show "Kansas City", as that's where my ISP is headquartered.
I've tried disabling location services, yet the "current location" persists as "Elk Grove". A reboot is next, followed by finding something better for my homepage that "MY.YAHOO.COM". Too bad it has to come down to that, but after fighting your finance applet for a long time, and now weather, it just isn't worth the effort to use yahoo any more.

I should NOT have to "locate" the weather app EVERY TIME I go back to My homepage. This is RIDICULOUS! This has gone on for WAY TOO LONG!!! Why hasn't this been fixed???

An IDIOT AT YAHOO responded. It is simple, the My Location is wrong.

The app changed recently. I now get two forecasts one for where I live and one for the state. What is with that? The state has mountains, deserts, coastal areas and everything in between. You can not judge anything by the weather for the whole state.

The current location feature is always wrong. I know where I am and it's not where your app thinks I am. Why don't you just remove it and let people select their own locations of weather interest?
