Problems with new My Yahoo
Please allow people to try the new my yahoo then opt back out - the only way to check out the new setup is to fully opt in - then you are stuck with no way back.
Font way too big and no way to adjust.
Less configurable apps.
Apps are rearranged all over the place, and some old ones are no longer available.
Hovering over news items no longer gives brief synopses.
New portfolio app sucks - give back ability to see all at portfolios at once without the stupid name pulldown.
Allow more theme customization like there used to be.
Allow resizing column widths like there used to be.
My Yahoo has been my homepage for over 10 years and the new one is practically unusable for me. I'm going to have to finally abandon it for something else.
I'm going elsewhere for my news. This format is the worst to find things and read key topics... Why did you change it? I find it cumbersome and not inviting to read at all. Big fonts and wide spacing force users to scroll down to find things. I hate the themes... What were you thinking....

Why do the headers on my Yahoo reminders keep showing up in spanish instead of english like I set the defaults to do. United States English Is my language of choice and is what it shows as being the default. The reminders which I type in show up in english like I type them it is only the headers that come up in spanish.

The new Yahoo is awful.. for some reason it just showed up I never opted in and now it's my new page. YUCK!!!!
The new My Yahoo! is awful. First you let us "personalize" our home page, then you yank it away. Who thought it needed to be fixed?? It wasn't broken and it is certainly not "personal" And Rich is right. No way to opt out. Are you guys based in Washington, DC? They always allow us our freedom, right?
Might be time to move on after all these years...

I signed in and checked mail before I went to visit my mother in Tennessee for a week and all was fine. Then I set up my computer there, log in, and get this totally different page for mail. I HATE it. I have tried every thing I can think of to get back to the way my husband's STILL looks on his computer, or back to the way it looked a year ago - but nothing works. This new mail page is ****** to use, writes right over inbox etc, so that I can not get back to them. Why does Yahoo force me to change to something I don't want? And no, I did not "opt-in" for this new look. It was just there when I booted up the computer at my mother's home.
This new layout and the supporting Yahoo Firefox browser both stink big time. My customized tabs no longer work. Many of the RSS feeds appear as non-operational. My mailbox takes as long as a typical shower just to open up. If you are prompted to upgrade your browser to the new Yahoo version, don't do it. Stick with what you are currently using and what is working for you.
Don't like at all! I don't know how to get the older version back!
Now when I click on "Compose" it take me to my inbox instead of a new email window. Also when I type an address that's in my contacts into the "To" field it doesn't automatically pop up anymore. This new email format is almost useless. Are they done tweaking it or will it get better? If this is it I'm going to make my Gmail account my primary email.

Me emails are squished together, when I click on email it doesn't show anything just a blank page
I don't exactly understand why Yahoo thinks we must have - like it or not - a "new experience."
My guess is that they want more control over content so they can steer us toward partner links and make more money.
If you read the few comments they've made at the head of this section of the feedback pages you can see that they're struggling with the code for the new My Yahoo app. My interpretation is that they have a faulty base code and they're trying to placate critics by adding stuff on top without fixing the underlying faults. If true, it's a recipe for disaster. Just look at the issues the Feds are having with the rollout of the ACA.
Yahoo: please leave well enough alone.

Have had nothing but problems since you sent the new Yahoo. Have to enter password at least twice just to get signed in. Will not remember my ID on the computer so end up having to type it completely each time. Once I do get signed in I go to email and try to open a folder or email...I get the message Network error occurred and can not connect. Please try again later. If I wanted to read email later I would be on later not at the time I get the message.I cn't figure out why you people think something always has to be better and the people will love it. Why fix something that is not broken. Had Yahoo as homepage and email for over 10 years now and have gone with the changes made in the past without commenting to Yahoo about them, but enough is enough and I am looking for a new provider....perhaps Google and gmail will be a better option. Run everybody away or have an option for a pay service to the ones that want to your forced changes.
I have also been using Yahoo as my homepage for over 10 years. This new layout is terrible and I am now looking for a new homepage. May have to go to MSN.com since they look more like the old Yahoo. Change it back, thank you.
because of the new yahoo screen I can not open my e-mails... I see a list of e-mails in my inbox and when I click on one of my an e-mails to read it, it opens up to a blank page. Please help me out...

I do not like this new "My Yahoo" which is not anymore my yahoo because I can't set it up to what I want. The apps are very difficult to arrange and not easy readable because I have to search for what I'm looking for. Yes, I can rearrange by apps but they don't end up where I need them to. It now look way too crowdy. The old "My Yahoo", to my opinion was way better than this new thing. Sorry I accept to try it out. Now I'm stuck.
I feel the same way. I am tired of having changes shoved down my throat and not having a say so! I think it is my time to say good by to yahoo also.
switching between tabs in myyahoo page doesn't even work.
As critical as I was recently about the new MyYahoo redesign, I actually sort of like the new email application. Hadn't any issues with displaying the emails or functionality in general, as some people are reporting. There are a few issues with the provided themes in terms of color selections, but I'm sure in time they'll come up with more themes. Of course, a full customization option would be great too.
The only issue I've encountered so far is the highlighting of the folders that have unread messages. At least in my "Folders" category the folder names that have new messages are not emphasized (bold type).
Other than that, I like the move towards a cleaner interface.
It sucks BIG time!
