I have used Eventbrite for a few years now to sell 600+ people crab feed dinner tickets. The problem I’ve had with EB is when people buy their tickets, they expect to be sitting across from each other, especially if they're buying 4 or more tickets. Currently, if u buy 12 tickets (which is frequent) they are all sitting on one side of the table in a row. It would seem this could be an easy fix to have even numbered seats on one side of the table and odd numbered seats on the other side. Also, if I make it available for the buyer to choose their own seats, they don't seem to see that button and they just select the number of seats/tickets they want to buy. Then, I run into the same problem as above! Maybe if the 2 buttons were together, they would see to select one button (number of seats/tickets to buy) or the other (pick your own seat).
It would make it a lot easier for me because I end up calling each group to tell them they’re sitting in a row on one side of a table, they always want to sit across from each other, and I have to transfer each seat/ticket.
Another fix that would be tremendously helpful is what some concerts call widows and orphans. If u have 4 vacant seats, u can’t buy 3 seats and leave one seat empty. Again, I have to call and creatively piece groups together so not to leave many single seats unsold.
If Covid social distancing is not over, but they allow such events like ours, I hope u can provide a way to apply 6 foot distancing.
If u could make these changes, I would very much appreciate it. If you would like to discuss this further, please call me at 707-678-5191 or email me a firstname.lastname@example.org, Thank you for your consideration.
