How do you like the new photo page?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  2. Unusable on smaller screens

It's 2014, surely you can come up with a responsive layout? Unless I'm viewing the window full-width, the photo page form and data elements get cut off at the screen edges.

Also, yay for jumping on the minimal / line / flat icon trend for the photo metadata section, but you need better contrast between the icons and the text, because it's easy to read line icons *as text*. Giving that area a little more "air" between icons and data would help as well; or using focused, intense colour (Tufte).

  4. It could be better, but I can't see it well enough to tell.

Change the background color on the part of the page under the photo to something much darker. It is way too bright and ******* my eyes. I'd suggest leaving it black like the background behind the picture. Once you do that, I'll be better able to see if I like the new look. YIKE!

  6. New Beta test page have some issues

There is some issue need to be resolve. One is unable to edit comment and title on main page thought there is a small icon on the right side when clicking the left side then it quickly disappear when trying to get to it.

The only way to add comments and title on the upload page. I find the users icon are still bad with the circle shape and too small which cut off the users photos.

On the users icon unable to scroll down see their info you'll have to click onto their icon to access their main photo…

  7. As yet I don't because a lot of the tabs don't work and I can neither respond to some comments or "Fave's" or add a title or description to

I can not even type in the full content of my complaint in the box above so here goes again = I am unable to respond to either comments or Fave's on some of my uploads and quite a number of the "Tabs" do not work = Also as yet the only thing which hit me instantly when I logged into the new version of Flickr was that there was two much white text area and not enough photograph - I have also not been able to find a way of viewing full screen.

  9. Some function still missing !!

Unable to see everyone favorites. Unable to stroll to contact info and contact them threw email. Comment section words need to be highlighted bold too light to read. And icon circle is too small cut the photos in the icon. Still much better from your last beta.

  10. I Hope it's still a Work in Progress

Why can't I edit my text after uploading? Why can't I add the correct date the photo was taken, instead of the upload date anymore? Why does the add location not work? Add to group, album, ect. seem to be fine.

  14. I love it! Keep this one, but I have one suggestion...

I love that the photo takes the main stage again, but the page is rather long and cluttered now. For the best of both worlds, consider floating the photo information as a mouse-over layer on the right or left of the screen. Basically, allow the photo to "take the stage", but for those who want more information, they can hover to the right or left to pop out an information bar (like the one in the last revision).

  16. A lot of wasted space.

At least for desktop apps. For mobile devices it may be OK.

  18. Umm, responsive layout??

    SERIOUSLY??
The single photo view is not responsive?? How is that possible in this day and age? The photo should resize to fit into the browser window, it currently gets cut off on the right side. So lame. I don't understand the decisions you are making.

  20. Tags are still missing when posting your images to Tumblr.

Having to type them twice is very user unfriendly. Please bring them back.
