Please allow us to turn off blatantly inflammatory news feeds (E.G. The Telegraph, The Cool Down")
Some of the news feeds you use are blatantly inflammatory, like The telegraph and The Cool Down. Please allow us to turn off such obvious disinformation.

Fix the Auto Play Audio on Ads
It is happening again! You have ads on your homepage that randomly fire off loud audio. This happens even though I have the ad muted and I have instructed Chrome not to play audio from your site. So, you are essentially forcing the audio from ads upon me. Get it fixed or you will loose me and I have been with you guys since about 1998.

Remove ads from scammers
On more than one occasion, I've accidentally clicked an ad when scanning your news page and it's a scammer. They get info from my google account and have fraudulently charged my credit cards. Do better at vetting who is purchasing your ad space. I'm about to find a different news page to scroll.

Let us block / ignore news sources we don't want to see!
We used to be able to at least partially block news sources we didn't like and then you took that feature away. Now the homepage is full of bogus sources no one with a brain can trust. Let me ignore them again!

Please clarify rejected comments.
I occasionally, like today, have comments rejected for violation of the community guidelines. Unfortunately, I rarely know what aspect of the guidelines I violated. Sometimes I don't even know which comment it was. In some cases I can figure that it's the use of a specific word, usually out of context, but for others, I haven't a clue.
If you're going to reject/censor input, at least tell us why.726th ranked -

Stop rejecting posts
Not rejecting every one of someone's posts, for unknown, and invalid reasons.Recently, almost every one of my posts has been rejected. I use NO profanity, and any perceived "insults" are even infinitely less harsh than most of the posts that are being printed. I filled one of these out, and have heard nothing.
I am getting sick of yahoo, and, even though I have been here for over 30 years, I am very seriously cutting my ties, closing my email, and never "setting foot" in here, again.726th ranked -
Yahoo removed stopping Publishers we don't want. My "NEWS" IS HALF ENTERTAINMENT GOSSIP! uhg!
We used to be able to pick the weight of publishers we want/don't want. And on top of that I scrolled down and half my so called "NEWS" is gossip form entertainment. I RARELY read entertainment "news" except for what shows are cancelled or not. I DON'T care who married who or who took a vacation and where.

Improve UI for using popup translators
I am opening yahoo website from desktop browser. I tried to translate some heading news, I moved cursor to title to select text (I use a popup translator which lets you drag mouse around a text and mark it, then it shows you translation in a popup box) but I couldnt select the text, because cursor icon was always a hand icon and never let me to select a piece of text. there must be a space (even space between the news header or title and the image on its left side, between them you can add a space so…

Remove large ad at the top of the new Yahoo! home page. Ads in the page are okay. The top one will make me stop using this page. This was not there in the old format.

Your 'Rotating Headlines' are worthless
I just now counted the 'headlines' you forcefeed your viewers. 14 rotating GIFS, and only 3 of them were current news, and 2 were redundant stories! Do you really consider this an improvement?!?

Here's an idea!!! Why not show the local weather forecast?
Here's an idea!! Why not show my local weather forecast on yahoo or my yahoo instead of Pottstown PA? I live about 2900 miles from Pottstown and I'm sure they have interesting weather, but I am more intersted in my local forecast. Why not have Yahoo show your local forecast instead of Pottstown PA? No matter how many times I correct the locations for weather, it always returns to Pottstown PA which is irrelevant.

WIthout warning, my comments have been blocked for the last 2 months. I keep asking for a review of the posts, am told I will hear a response and then nothing else happens.

Back Arrow
When I hit the back arrow after reading an article, I'm returned to the top of the page, not the headline I was reading about. This causes me to have to scroll all the way back down to get to my starting point. Very frustrating time after time!
