Bring back comments
everyone wants comments. its the reason we use your platform at all. Bring them back or lose all your advertising revenue when we all leave for other news sources that allow commenting.

I CERTAINLY DON'T GO TO YAHOO FOR THEIR NEWS OR AWARD WINNING JOURNALISM. COMMENTS ARE THE ONLY THING WORTH READING ON YAHOO. THE MAJOR STOCKHOLDERS IN YAHOO, THE KARDASHIANS, ARE PROBABLY THE ONES WHO COMPLAINED AND WANTED THE COMMENTS TAKEN OFF OF YAHOO. NO MORE COMMENTS, NO MORE YAHOO. CLICK ! Remove the upvote/downvote system in the comment section
It's pretty common knowledge that Yahoo comment sections are absolute toxic dumpsters. Every discussion on any tangentially politics-related post inevitably gets incredibly polarized towards one political extremity. And the reason for this is the upvote/downvote system that is painfully easy to manipulate to steer the discussion one way or another. If Yahoo isn't going to do a proper job of moderating their comment sections and aren't willing to do away with it entirely (which is understandable), then please just remove the upvote/downvote system and just auto-sort the comments by most recent or something instead. Remove the ability comment anonymously
Require people who choose to comment on articles to be linked to a social media account. This would cut down on the bottom-feeders who like to troll or anonymously propagate their hate. If you stand by it, you should have your name out there when you say it. Maybe there's an integration you can use like disqus to make the community healthier.

Please stop featuring UK news on the US Yahoo News page. European news should be found in the "world news" section.
UK news is not US news therefore should not be featured on Yahoo's most recent or top news page(s). Place it under world news please.

I prefer to read the stories, not watch videos. If I wanted to watch the video Id click on it. But no!!! You force the videos on me! Sick!!
Give me back my option on video. I read half the story, a video starts and I have to scroll around looking for the video to shut it off! Just had one experience where the video couldn't be found. Very frustrating!

Take all opinion articles and put them in their own category.That way the real news can be read by people.
Sorry, opinion pieces are being read by people and they consider it fact. We need to try to idiot proof the process so people can make good decisions for their lives and others around them.

Why are comments not allowed after the articles? That is the only reason I read yahoo articles.
We should be able to comment at the end of articles. If not, I can read the news from other web sources.
