The new homepage stinks.
First you change the homepage on my phone. Now you change it on my computer. Stop trying to be avant-garde. You're just hurting your company. I implore you to change the homepage back. I always used Yahoo as my search engine. If I had free time, I would just sit and mindlessly browse the news. Now I can't do that. I guess, for now, I'm switching to Google. At least they care enough about their consumers to keep the same homepage. Also, if you'll notice, I've already changed my email provider to gmail. I hope you're prepared to lost a lot of money.

every complaint that I read is my thoughts exactly. I use yahoo as my home page but greed has made the page unusable. time to go search for a new home page.

I really miss the "swiping" that you used to be able to do, where you could browse the top news stories in groups of 4. Having only 5 stories at the top is a poor representation of what's going on in the world. And the stories listed underneath, for the most part, seem to be just pop culture news - celebrities, Dear Abby, and gruesome stories of murder and ****. Think I'll just start seeking the real news on other websites!!

I'm getting really sick of using Yahoo to read news articles. What is up with these modal windows? They do not work well at all. Always, I refresh the page to get rid of the modal window. Stop trying to make the site "pretty". Most of what you're doing is not "pretty". The comments are now horribly formatted. If you enter a comment and use a hard line break, it shows double spaced in the comment. The old format did not do that. The old format was WYSIWYG.

The old homepage was so much easier to use than the newer one. The old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies here. You have to start introducing changes by getting feedback FIRST from your users before making them permanent. That makes your users much happier and keeps them from thinking about trying Google as a replacement.

What they all said. it sucks and is crippling my internet experience. In fact, every "improvement" in internet browsing as well as Windows versions over the last ten years has been worse than the prior setting, social media included

If Yahoo wants to keep their customers & interested in $, they will make their news (all of it) good again. Their present one is sad & pitiful.

Please bring back the ability to get rid of certain articles and topics. I'd also like to be able to block certain news sources since I don't want to read opinion masquerading as fact. I used to spend my time browsing the news on the Yahoo homepage, that rarely happens now since things changed.

I agree with all these "homepage sucks" comments.... but wanted to toss in "whose idea was it to have links on the homepage, which we click on, taking us to another page, where the first paragraph or so of the article we want to read begins. It ends with a READ MORE.... which means we click on THAT link to take us to ANOTHER page? Who thought this was a good idea!?!?!

Takes way too long to load, even though I have a 60 mbps download connection. Old one loaded a page, you could nav to the next. New keeps loading more stuff. IE often reports 'page is not responding'.

Just like everyone else has pointed out --- WHY!!! WHY DO I HAVE to CLICK two Times to Read an Article? are you getting $$ for the first click? how cheezy has yahoo become? I'm done with this waste of time website. news.google.com from now on. F.Y. Yahoo. and that's not (F)or (Y)our information ...

The new homepage is awful. When I click on an article I want to go to the actual article, NOT some stupid synopsis that is one sentence longer than what I already read on the homepage, and then click on another link to get to the article. Keep it simple stupid.
