The new homepage stinks.
First you change the homepage on my phone. Now you change it on my computer. Stop trying to be avant-garde. You're just hurting your company. I implore you to change the homepage back. I always used Yahoo as my search engine. If I had free time, I would just sit and mindlessly browse the news. Now I can't do that. I guess, for now, I'm switching to Google. At least they care enough about their consumers to keep the same homepage. Also, if you'll notice, I've already changed my email provider to gmail. I hope you're prepared to lost a lot of money.

The old scroll feature to view news was the primary reason I USED Yahoo to get information, albeit the opinion pieces are typically left of Stalin. Now just about all stories below what used to be the 4 story scroll aren't stories at all, just adds. I'll keep the email address I have, but no longer use Yahoo as home page.

Like the old home page over then newer page. You also are making changes to email which sucks as well. Like they say, If its not broken then don't try and fix to make better cause your idea's of better are not better.

I agree. I hate this new home page. I had it set up to the things I like now it just all willy nilly whatever they like. I couldn't care less about basketball but all of a sudden I'm getting scores and junk, news I don't care about. It plain old sucks and I am also considering going to google. I've just had about enough of it.

I miss having the top stories to scroll through at the top of the page. Now they just pick 4, and I usually am not interested in them. Please bring that feature back!

Admin,
This has been a headache on and off since October or November of last year.
It is like the software change is staged, doesn't work, and then is backed out only to repeat the cycle after problem analysis and a correction is made and finding another problem.
I know it is hard to stress test software changes but some of these software changes gone terribly wrong could:1) Tested a lot more before installation.
2) Broken down to confirm each software change rather than implementing a bundle of software changes.
3) Important: Forget the cosmetics and concentrate on flawless functionality. Most Yahoo users are not concerned about a Windoze 7/8/9/10 or whatever presentation space look and feel. Users are extremely interested in fast and error free (Click & I'm There) functionality. Not ripping you guys for what you do. This is only a very small part of the overall operation but software implementations such as this is having a major affect on the user community as you have read.

I agree! I HATE the new home page! I don't like to be spoon fed the news someone else thinks I should read and in what order. I want to be able to build and format my own home page the way the old Yahoo home allowed. I will be searching other sites to use as home page. Yahoo new format sucks!!

Your old homepage was a lot more functional, & I was more likely to use it as a search platform. Just saying, I don't know what your overall business model is, but my response is that I now visit the Yahoo home page about once a day, if that. Before, I would check in about 4x per day, especially if there was some breaking news event. Now, there's no point, because other organizations are more current & useful. My favorite part was having multiple stories to browse through, which was a way to stay updated easily, & if I wanted to spend more time exploring the information, I could follow through. Now you have what? 4? Who selects the 4? I have very limited patience for entertainment & sports stories. Its a big world out there, and your old home page was much more reflective of that. I still use my email account for day-to-day stuff, but I have switched my professional correspondence to gmail, mostly because they have a much better spam filter. Years of habits often die hard, but already, I have mostly forgotten about Yahoo for searches, and have removed it from my Bookmarks. Was that your plan?

To Whom It May Concern,
I'm certain what I am about to write has been written above, but in order to keep my opinions unbiased, I write this before reading other comments on the same topic. The following are the biggest complaints I have:
1. I will begin with the obvious. I loath your new Home Page. I liked seeing the four stories at the top of the screen and having a sideways scroll button to scan your top 40-70??? stories of the week/day. I can now longer "hover" over a top story and get a little more than the headline.
2. I have found that a majority of your stories are now nothing more than a hyperlink. In many cases I have found that the story is nothing more than the headline. The link opens a new page to some random website that may only have two sentence written. Then I have to try and figure out what button to hit to not be hyperlinked to a sensationalized advertisement. Why? Yahoo Canada or India is not like this? It is nearly impossible to try and read a story anymore. Your homepage site is so interlaced with advertisement that there is no discernment between, news, entertainment, sports, etc... and the mindless, trashing, sensationalistic advertisement that you have allowed as your norm.
3. I understand that Yahoo intends to find related stories and other topics of similar interest after I have viewed a story for me to review. However, it appears that more advertisements than stories are suggested for my review. You are deceiving your viewers into viewing something that is garbage advertising.
I could continue for hours writing about how trashy Yahoo has become but I'll end by saying: I feel like I'm watching a continuous loop of TMZ. Poor form Yahoo!

Yes and who is the NIMROD that changed Email "Sign-In" into a 2 stage process?
For years we have "Username" AND "Password" on one screen, which is convenient, now we have to enter "Username" and press continue to get a new screen, just to be able to enter "Password" just to get into email.
Whoever made this decision should be FIRED, plain and simple. Please forward this to someone who oversees these decisions and change the Sign-in process back to what MAKES SENSE, one page with both things on it
Thank you
Jason

I also agree the new homepage is NOT user friendly. Also when you click on an article, you have to open 3 other pages just to finally read it. This is silly, please go back to the other homepage.
