Ever ask yourself how much is enough?
Yahoo has been my homepage since I began on the internet
in 1998. It's like an old friend. I've always enjoyed the headlines and using the search
engine. I even met my husband on-line
in Yahoo Games Gin Rummy chat. (Another truly awesome passtime that has went by
the wayside.) This is why I am saddened enough to take the time to write to whomever
may take the time to listen. I doubt anyone will. I never really have believed that the opinion
of just one person changes much, but at least it will make me feel better and
help me to cope with the loss of my old friend.
I say this to you today because I just cannot take it anymore.
The amount of ads on Yahoo has taken the joy and ease
out of having it as my go to search engine and homepage.
I cannot enjoy anything I click on as it takes forever to
get through due to the time it takes for the ads to load.
It is obvoious the ads take precedence over the user's ability
to navigate and enjoy anything offered.
The interenet used to be a fun place to visit and a tool to be used to
unwind and get lost in stories and information in and around the world
that I otherwise might not be a part of. Now, for me, it has increasingly
become just an addtional source of aggravation and drama to be avoided. So back to my original question, ever ask yourself how much is enough?
Well Yahoo, how much is enough? How much money is enough for you to feel
the need to have so much advertising it chases your users away?I sure will miss the old you. If you decide to change, we
may be able to be friends again. I sure wish there was something I could do to
help you. Oh wait. That's what I'm trying to do now, but I doubt anyone cares
so long as the ads are doing their dirty work. I guesss. I'll still have my Yahoo
email that I've had for 19 years. I really have and will continue to appreciate
it. So I'll check on you every once in a while to see if you're any better. But
sadly, due to greed, I doubt you will be. Good bye old friend. -

Remove fake news stories that are inserted in between actual news stories.

Take your freeking ads off my pathway to my mail. I have been a faithful customer to your mail for ages. I can always drop you and go to AOL or G-mail or anywhere else. Your stupid ad from OATH- build brands is a pain ********** and I will not tolerate it.

HAVING ALL OF THIS MONUMENTAL AD PAGES THAT IT TAKES AN HOUR TO GO THROUGH THE INFORMATION YOU ARE SEEKING!!!
Seeking information, whatever that information is, then having to click through 10, 20, 30, 100 pages or more drives me crazy. The reason, overloading of my cache, locking up my computer, ransomware, or simply as you go through these pages, loading of the next page get slower, and slower, until finally you can go to the bathroom, use your cell phone, if you're on your home computer, and make a date, see what friends are doing, etc., etc., before the page loads.
THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND I FOR ONE DO NOT PUT UP WITH IT FOR THE MOMENT THE PAGE HANGS FOR MORE THAN 10 SECONDS, I CLOSE IT, PUT IT ON MY LIST OF DO NOT VISIT, AND MOVE ON! Logically speaking here, if I do this, think about how many other people are doing the same.
Plus my experience with Face Book and the fact that I've had well over 100 times ads, or stories about different topics since joining Face Book in 2015, grudgingly, this due to my enjoying Train Station, and thankfully knowing prior to this how to deal with this garbage, ransomware, well these problems have slowly gone down in number, but still do cause problems from time to time.
SUGGESTION, IDEA,
Create an ad section using a totally separate browser where all ads are stored, and where these ads are scanned constantly for every known type of virus, malware, ransomware, known problem, and also that can identify new problems. This helps with the spread of these things, and eventually we will find who is sponsoring them.
When I want to read information regarding what is going on in the world, or going on in my state, or my city, I don't want to be bombarded by thousands of ads which bluntly put, ****** me off having to deal with them. I want my info now, I want it clean, and without interruption, and if you think about this, how many other's out her want the same? The first one who does this will enjoy, opinion my own here, whoever makes this happen will suddenly enjoy the lion's share of people throughout the world who hate swimming through advertising to find out what they seek, information regarding a topic of interest to them. Can you do this? Then think how with a clean web browser being offered and notice I didn't state totally clean here, but clean enough that I and others can find this information so they can move on in their daily lives while having this at their finger tips. Not sitting there say, hold on, all of these )&^%)%)^%$^& ads have screwed up my computer, because they aren't running 64 or 128 gigs of ram to run smoothly, so it will be a while....and their hearing, give us what you've got, which might not be the info they are seeking at all, but this person might have gotten exactly what they needed if they didn't have swim through ads. -

The amount of ads that you are putting is, well, laughable. I opened on link from the main page and AdBlock blocked 1,313 ads. Ridiculous!!!
This is why I have AdBlock. Are you that hard-up that you have to post over ONE THOUSAND ads per PAGE???
What's with the links to "supposedly" not show ads that I request be removed?
Also, what is with posting SCAM ads? Have you NO INTEGRITY???

As soon as I go on the Yahoo homepage and wait for the page to load I get redirected to a page that wants me to download something. I know it's malware so I close out of the browser. You need to check all your ads and remove the ones that have malware/viruses. I do have an antivirus that blocks them but they still shouldn't be on any of your pages at all. Please fix this. Also, I don't know which ads are causing it either. This is why I try to never stay on any of your pages for long and why I switched to a different browser so I can use ad blocker.

Redirecting a person mid-article to install Flash-based malware, or telling them that they have a critical Windows error, and need to call some scam number. I hate to say it, but if anyone falls for this, they could pursue legal action against you, since you're doing zero to fix the problem. Get rid of the redirect ads.

Companies like this are financial scammers that take advantage of people in strained circumstances.

ads/commercials by design are flashy, bright colors, have lots of quick change/slide show stuff in them to grab your attention. and all of these things are seizure and episode triggers. we need a very low monthly subscription (since the vast majority of us are on below poverty level disability benefits as sole source of income) that once it's set, there are no ads, no commericials, no popups or sneaking them into a new tab opening. i've been with yahoo since i was a beta tester for u in the 80's when the internet was an infancy, and i'm loyal. haven't jumped ship for the newest shiney thing that comes along. but i'm going to seriously consider closing all my yahoo accounts to a new service specifically for protecting the differently abled from ads/commercials seizure triggers on my favorite/home page and email at yahoo

Seriously.... any site that allows obnoxious ads to hijack visitors trying to read news stories is a site that's gonna go belly-up quick. And deserves to. Fix it already!

Please fix your site. I thought malware had destroyed my brand new computer. Creepy ads for spurious antivirus products like "Mackeeper" and similar unwanted ads crash into the page I'm trying to view every 30 seconds. Not the brightest money-making idea.

You deceive the public when you try and make ads look like articles. Does any company have ethics anymore?

Have to mute in order to read Yahoo articles or the ads will drown you. Sad
