Please allow us to block specific news providers from our news feed.
When you click "Less like this" have one of the options be the name of who psoted it instead of just key words.
Hi,
Thank you for your feedback on this. Our product team has added a feature that will allow you to see less of the publishers that you don’t want to see on your Yahoo Homepage Newsfeed. The steps to do so can be found here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/homepage/sln29105.html

You need to give the end user the ability to block certain news feeds and news providers. If I don't want to see news articles, every single time I log in, from the Huff Post, or Fox News, or whoever, I should be able to block them and control the news coming to my homepage instead of you forcing me to see it day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after after day after day after day after day after day after day after day.....

There used to be a convenient red X on the top corner of newsfeed items. When clicked, it would bring up a list of topics/sources that you could tag as unwanted, and the site would lessen the amount of such topics/sources that would appear in the news feed.
I want that option back. Lately I have been bombarded with junk news (HuffPo, Salon, CNN, etc.) and I don't want to have to sift through that stuff just to reach what I actually care about.
When I could filter the results, it worked pretty well. Now that the only button visible to me (that I know of) is a Comment button (which doesn't always work) I feel as if I'm being force-fed trash news that I can't escape from.
Give me my customization back. I want to see the news I want to see.

Allow me... I am begging to get rid of the Huffington post. Its a liars folly fake news tabloid based on hate. Why or why do you force it on me. I like Yahoo. Please allow me to keep it.... but I can't take this **** any longer!

I am tired of Yahoo having too many stories in my news feed about tragedies. This is just glamorizing violence. Giving a voice to those that have committed heinous crimes & they deserve NONE. I don't want to scroll down & approximately every 2 stories is about something I do not want to read about. Before the "upgrade" you could block a stories in your newsfeed. Now, we are not given an option & I am sick & tired of seeing all the violence. I can play a video game for that.

I'm sorry guys at yahoo.. but I'm getting ready to get all my news from The Blaze from now on. If you can't even post a few stories from them I have absolutely no reason to ever look at your news page again. I say "your news page" because it became yours when you started using it to force feed me propaganda from Vox, Huffington Post Salon or others against my expressed wishes.

since I cannot customize my page and take off "news" sources I don't like I'm forced to keep asking you to do it for me.

I'm tired of seeing huffington post.. it seems like every story is calculated to cause strife.. I want them off my page.. seriously, I don't want to see them.. I would surf to their site if I wanted to read bad op-eds and misinformation. I don't need that on yahoo.

yahoo loves to put out anti-American dribble from al jezzera or the independent. very rarely do they use American news agencies because it doesn't support their hate for America.

So-called news articles keep showing up from The New York Observer. This is owned by Trump's son-in-law and since he is at the top of Trump's administration ,amounts to propaganda. It is the equivalent of using RT or North Korean news outfits to get your information. It needs to go and the option to get rid of other blatant propaganda news would be nice.

Lately, since new page started, yahoo only provides very left news stories as their headlines. Huff Post, Vox, Salon, and very inflammatory headlines. You can run your website as you see fit but if you stay in the tank for the DNC I will be forced to leave. Try apolitical or some balance I'm not looking for Fox but this reeks like Mother Jones.

Some of the content sources are blatantly biased. Give me the option to exclude them.

Could not agree more. Salon, Huffpo, Vox etc., only offer leftist views and editorial articles aimed at ridicule of anything remotely conservative. Enough.

Please, Please block. Or provide us with a block for these obsessions of Yahoo's.

It's almost as though Yahoo is conducting a social experiment on how to best ruin a business by overdosing it's viewers with tired, pathetic Huffington Post propaganda

They don't seem to get what you mean. For the Yahoo staff: If I click the "Fewer Like This" X, the drop down should say "Tell Us More About What You Dislike" and the option "Huffington Post" is there for me to select that and no longer see Huff Post content.

Yes, and NOW they've taken away the option altogether - I"m getting close to quitting Yahoo as my home page because of this. I can't stand animal abuse stories - but now am forced to seeing them on the home page almost every day

I never see the option I want when it come to blocking news. If Vox lies about Ted Cruz, the only option I get is to block Ted Cruz, not Vox. News companies have a bias. I should be able to choose to block the worst offenders.

I've been asking Yahoo to do this for several years, even longer than the several years they've had all of these same top comments in their feedback section supposedly under review. Apparently google news does allow this type of filtering, so it's probably time to change my homepage.
