Your home page change on Jan. 28, 2016 is misdirected. I don't want to comment on the new, I want to READ the news. Amazing how such a little thing like scroll bars can ruin the experience. The top stories helped me quickly become informed. I don't want to have to dig down through all of the news, I might as well read a newspapaer. Also, I don't want you to customize the news for me, I may miss something important in the world. I want to see ALL the top stories. Yikes what a mess. I will now be using Google news. Yahoo, you lost!

It's to provide "cross platform compatibility." A computer is not a tablet, is not a smart phone. This layout on a computer is horrible. The icons and images are clunky, the three column layout is counter-intuitive, Can't easily find what you're looking for.
This is an epic failure to address the needs of the customer, and appears designed to drive people away from the home page. I've already changed the default page on one of my computers during the last "upgrade" and intend to change the others unless it gets changed back. I guess Google could use my traffic. At least their home page is elegant.
The good idea fairy needs to quit visiting the marketing people at Yahoo, and they need to quit monkeying around with what works well. If they did, maybe the stock price wouldn't keep hemorrhaging.

Please make old version available for those who want it. New version is too complicated and trying to get to "local" news is ridiculous!

Whatever change you made on 2-28-2016 is terrible. You've made the home page look and work like a 10 year old set it up.

I am not happy with the new Yahoo Home Page. I am asking to be returned to the former (classic) format. Thank you.

?Yahoo has changed its opening page again, without trying it out... links that go nowhere, "long running scripts" that freeze one's computer... the list of adware at the bottom are gone but not the adware itself... ABC has a separate sign in that freezes the screen and you have to go to Task Manager or deeper to stop or reload the browser... why do you do this yahoo?

Jan 28,2016 Yahoo Changed the format of News, can't get to comments now -- Adobe Flash crashes -- how do you stop the "scripts" that freeze my computer ? Can't "stop scrip" or "Debug" Cannot delete replies to comments list... What did yahoo do now.??.. have to avoid all ABC content or it freezes my computer.. Yahoo, why do you ruin the user experience?? Does your staff even try out the changes before unleashing them??

Why did you change the format? It wasn't broken. If its not broke, don't fix it. Ok? Please put it back the way it was. Thank you.

Your news site is not reader-friendly to people over 40 who can no longer read small print. I am over 50 and I can no longer read 8-point fonts. I have to set Firefox to display webpages in 14-pt. font. This was working OK on the Yahoo site until today. You must have changed something overnight, because now I cannot read the titles of news articles in the moving banner under the lead story. Did you make the space for the banner narrower? Yesterday I could read the entire article title even if the title had three lines of text, and today the third line of any title is unreadable. People over 40 read ads and buy things, so you are foolishly disregarding a major source of fans and income. This is not something that young people think about, and I would guess that most of your web designers are under 40.

The new layout for yahoo news is horrendous and buggy. Just today it has crashed my browser more times than it had in the previous year!
The top stories scroll bar being removed is a disaster. It limits the news you see to a mere 20 or so stories in the vertical scroll. Scrolling has aslo become so resource hungry the pages take forever to load.
Your external linking freezes firefox 1 out of 10 times. 9 out of 10 times for Internet explorer.
Change it back. It's terrible.

my zip code is 80631, Greeley, CO. Yet the "local news posts on my MY YAHOO page show news posts from Denver, Aspen, and places other than Greeley. Even when I open "more news" I see newpaper posts from all around the area, except the Greeley Tribune. What gives?

This homepage is useless. Unless it changes back I will just use another site for news.
