The editing of grammar and spelling in the articles need to be addressed
Unfortunately, spell checks and grammatical evaluations seem to be absent in many of the articles I read.
Hi there, I’m sorry to hear that! We’d like to further investigate this, can you message us directly on Twitter at @YahooCare or on Facebook on our Yahoo Customer Care page? We would need the article URL and the spelling/grammar error. In case you do not have a social media account, please contact us at help.yahoo.com
Thank you!

Articles on Yahoo have become unreadable. The blatant incorrect use of plural pronouns rather than using gender specific pronouns not only makes the author seem stupid, but surely makes readers more stupid for having read it. The use of "they" and "their" to describe individuals makes no sense at all. It is poor writing, poor editing, and poor quality control of the content produced. I will find my news articles elsewhere. Hopefully someday Yahoo comes to its senses.

In Dylan Stableford’s article “US Marks Latest Grim Milestone on the Pandemic” he states the COVID death number when Biden took office at 500K. I took a screen shot of the Covid reporting on 20 Jan 2021 that stated the number of deaths at 405,062 at the time Biden took office. There have been ~ 494,938 deaths under Biden.

I have seen some articles lately that need some serious editing. They are full of mispelled words, left out words, and other errors. Please urge your writers to proofread before publishing. When they don't, it makes all of Yahoo look bad. Here is just one example: https://sports.yahoo.com/former-nba-sixth-man-jr-smith-signs-with-agency-for-nil-opportunities-at-nc-at-151918108.html

I'm absolutely shocked at the reprehensible use of English grammar, spelling and punctuation some of these writers are using in their articles!
Yahoo news is supposed to represent a professional news outlet, not elementary school-level students with minimal training in the English language. Where are you hiring these people, or did Yahoo just lower the bar for professional standards? -

Please start proofreading. The latest error is in a title on Chappell.. “‘you will note summon me’”. “Note”? And people get paid for this? This isn’t the first time I’ve seen grammatical errors. People claim to be journalists, writers, and editors without understanding basic linguistic skills. Why even bother taking pride in any literary work if no one cares? The usual “comeback” is “grammar nazi”. Yep, that’s the easy way out of taking responsibility and having respect for the rules of any language. Either write and proofread correctly, or don’t bother paying people for not doing the work correctly. Most people get fired after a time if they don’t do their jobs correctly.

Your headlines consistently abuse the English language. They show a complete ignorance of grammar and usage, and it detracts from both the ability to understand them and what little credibility they have left.

Your home page headlines are full of errors in basic English.
Verbs don't agree with the subject in number (singular subject but plural verb form or plural subject with singular verb form.
Wrong prepositions used after verbs (it's "arrived AT" not "arrived to" and "based ON" not "based off of" ).
You need to hire proofreaders who are professionals and native speakers. -

"Arrest made after school bus driver ran over in Brooklyn".
How is this considered well written?
The proper heading should've been.
"Man arrested after running over bus driver in Brooklyn."
"Man arrested for intentionally running over bus driver in Brooklyn"You get the gist!
I'm looking for work as a writer, let me know if you're interested in someone who can actually write proper copy!

If you're responsible for final edits in print, please don't spell simple words incorrectly.

Today, Jan. 21, 2021, on the Yodel story "How 'Hamilton' helped poet Amanda Gorman beat speech impediment", the female reporter twice mispronounced the word "written" as "wri-en". This is a glaring error and I believe it should be pointed out to her that this is not correct. I hope you take action on this. It's very disheartening to hear this on a report that should be very professional. Thank you, ****
