Answers.com sponsored ads are loaded with viruses. I used to love Yahoo news, now I hate it.
Yahoo news is getting worse by the day. I understand Yahoo needs to turn more profits, but linking to sites like Answers.com is just going to **** people off, not line your pockets.

Well ... don't click on sponsored content. Yahoo should make the "sponsored content" more clearly visible. But the solution is: Ignore it. It's advertising cr@p, often with malware of virus attached.

Yahoo has gone from bad to worse. I really don;t think that they really care was is said here. Their news is like all others in the industry slanted like ****. For once I would like to see this industry help responsible for the trashy way they report.
Just my two cents

I think the technical term is "malware", but you are correct. The ads are loaded with the stuff.

Fire the executive in charge of yahoo advertising. He or she is obviously earning very large kickbacks. I use the term "earning" in a very sarcastic manner. I have hard booted my computer twice and still this abusive ad remains. I will never buy an Apple product, I will never buy any pop up ads. You might want to reconsider your advertising formats/promotions. I am sure you hired youngsters about 18 or 20 years old to "promote" youth and electronic gadget" skills and assumed they actually had a brain in their heads. Not gonna happen, they do not have any social/common sense skills. This is what our business world is doomed to suffer. ROBOTS with no feeling or accountability. Hackers are going to take over, they will steal everything you have.

I really am angry at ads that I cannot close. Stop Apple from cramming their products on us. This is probably the most angry I have ever been at Yahoo...

I'm especially upset over ones with some sensational teaser like Stephen Hawking Warns of Disaster (couldnt find the exact one I saw earlier) which is nothing more than an ad for some brain pill.
What's worse, the advertiser photoshops fake headlines onto magazine covers claiming everyone from Tiger Woods to David Letterman swears by it ... showing pictures of various celebrities. It's a total sham but apparently Yahoo has no ethics or it would be enforcing some standards.Seriously hating Yahoo more and more for the **** sponsored content, the ridiculous ad-filled 20 people who did this things which are so filled with ads it takes my laptop about a half minute just to move to the next page.
Add on the blatant political bias of the news stories and commentators displayed. Ugh

I am very frustrated with having this Apple Air Ad taking over the top 1/3 page ad at top of screen. Furthermore, I have never owned or used an Apple product in my life. Especially, an Apple Computers. I did even like having to work on/or service them when I was employed as a technician. Now, that I am retired. There is no amount of advertising capable of changing my mind. So, please...Stop the ads or as least make them closable.
Remember, I have two options:
1. Keep putting with Ad Abuse. 2. Remove Yahoo from its position as my homepage.I have already taken the necessary steps to: "Opt-Out" of 124 Company Ads. Three of which are still pending/or refusing to respect my right to not be bum-rushed by their Ad Campaigns.
So, Yahoo dot com, can either respect my desire to not be harassed by unwanted/or unwarranted ads. Or I will move yahoo for a homepage position to a trash can position.
The choice is yours.Regards,
Your frustrated patron.

Seriously...I agree. Sold the "delete" button to advertisers willing to pay to have it removed, but they are just selling our choice. Eventually, we ont use Yahoo and they wont be able to see it anymore...

I'm sick to death of seeing that stupid picture of a skull with all the extra teeth!!! Cripes, it is on just about every Yahoo page I click on. Come on, Yahoo!!! Do you really need to have 75% of your web pages covered with sponsored ads and links???

You have no idea how sick I am of these stupid ads. If I want a freggin' product I'll let the idiots know. But thanks to Yahoo's non stop flood of ads, and the stupid big one at the top of my screen for a credit card, I wouldn't buy anything from any of these places. AND, I have picked up viruses before by accidently clicking on some of your "ad's". GET RID OF THEM OR I GET RID OF YAHOO,IT'S THAT SIMPLE!!!!

I am changing my home page. Give me a choice to close those pervassive Apple ads. You have doing this for months if not longer. I hope the money Apple pays for those ads is more important then the people who use you site.

When these apple adds started i said i would not purchase an apple product. I have stuck to that statement. I only want the option to close all the pop up adds that big. Please add the close option so you don't drive away the remainder of people that still use yahoo as there home page.

I just clicked on an article and got a virus message. You must call this 800 number to remove the virus. I tried what I new to get off this page. I finally unplugged and restarted my computer. Yahoo has been really messed up since the last CEO took over !! I think Google is going to be my homepage.
