1. Yahoo's quality is declining at a more rapid pace

   1. Terrible is all I can say to explain the recent homepage change for mobile devices.

   2. The quality of articles is absolutely horrendous. Content providers like hello giggles, huffpost, pop sugar I could go on and on are just completely devoid of decent, adult, rational content. Articles are seemingly written by and for 10-15 year olds.

   3. Kudos to Yahoo employees who continue to get paid and have jobs while putting out such a low quality product. Seriously, no offense to them. I blame the bosses who either do not frequent the site and therefore do not know how terrible their product, in fact, actually is, or they know exactly how bad their product is and for whatever reason just don't give a hoot.

   4. It takes a certain kind of magic for a product to get worse over time. Yahoo's website exemplifies this magic.

   5. If there is such an actual thing as "fake news" Yahoo certainly is one of the primary drivers of the phenomenon.

   6. If any of these points are not patently clear from a single viewing of Yahoo's homepage, and such a person is in the content distribution business, that person really needs to consider a new career. Except if you're low on the totem pole. If you're low on the totem pole at Yahoo, the silver lining to you slowly destroying what good remains of the internet is that at least you're getting a paycheck and supporting yourself or your family.

10. Stop pushing Yahoo updates featuring Matt Bai.

    Updates that get pushed to my phone featuring the opinion of Matt Bai are maddening. He is irrelevant, extremely biased, and disconnected from reality. His opinions are not news, they are not important, and they cheapen and demean the usefulness of Yahoo updates. If I continue getting push notifications featuring Matt Bai's opinions, I will discontinue using all Yahoo apps and web products. News updates should be just that - news. Unless Matt Bai is producing quality journalism, his opinion has no place in your so-called "Newsroom."

    First you change the homepage on my phone. Now you change it on my computer. Stop trying to be avant-garde. You're just hurting your company. I implore you to change the homepage back. I always used Yahoo as my search engine. If I had free time, I would just sit and mindlessly browse the news. Now I can't do that. I guess, for now, I'm switching to Google. At least they care enough about their consumers to keep the same homepage. Also, if you'll notice, I've already changed my email provider to gmail. I hope you're prepared to lost a lot of money.

    I've been a Yahoo user for over 15 years.
    I've been a print journalist, reporter, editor, and manager for over 32 years.

    Almost invariably, the "news" stories that you post and feature are blatantly and obviously deliberately crafted to upset and anger everyone who is exposed to them. This is made exponentially more clear and obvious in the extreme vitriol of the comments from readers.

    I am certainly aware - painfully so - that you are a business and your goal is to make profit. Got that. But! What are you willing to do to get your profit? You most assuredly present yourselves as a source of "news," and actively promote the pretense of being "journalists." You also are most absolutely NOT journalists. The concept of objectively reporting facts is so distant from any even hint of professional ethics you might hold as to be of another very distant universe.

    It seems obvious to even the most obtuse reader of your "news" items that you will certainly sacrifice any journalistic ethic or standard, and - in fact - are willing to actively and knowingly contribute to the destruction of civilized society.

    You're not about communication. You're about destruction.

    A question for you: If you help incite, inflame, and literally build the hatred and total lack of real communication among "civilized" beings and thereby significantly contribute to the collapse of society and culture ... what good will be all the "profit" in the world?

    Is my view more extreme than you normally get?

19. NO Mobile Number required!!!

    There is NO reason that you need my mobile number in order to create and account!! I don't want you to have that number !! I should NOT be REQUIRED to enter it in order to sign up for an account!! I attempted to create an account for my son, only to find out that I had to enter my personal mobile number in order to receive a "code" that had to be verified before I can use this account!

    I should simply be able to sign up for a free account, like I was able to do 10 years ago!! Not now!! Forget these stupid codes and the other B.S. requirements in order to create new accounts!!! This is a guaranteed way to lose customers!! You don't need every single bit of my personal info!! And I won't give it to you!!

    If you want me to create an account for my son, then you need to change the requirements! I can handle the age thing, not being able to sign up if under the age of 13. Fine! But stop asking for stuff you don't need!

    Also---LOSE THE ADDS!! There are WAY TO MANY!!! Your web page is slower than a DSL connection already, and the addition of all the adds is only making it worse!! There is a reason I went to a different server for my e-mail account! Yours is now only used for junk mail!!
