Spammer running wild!
A (or more than one) "mad bomber" spammer is attacking Yahoo sports comments boards . . . in particular the (shared) Red Sox and Yankees boards.
Also happening is that legitimate comments from genuine sports fans are being "removed" probably via exploitation of a flaw in the Yahoo abuse-report feature by using many, many multiple accounts . . . at last count . . . at least 15 different accounts and "nicknames" (handles/monikers . . . which I can provide) and he is posting (via some kind of program) dozens of short alpha-numeric "comments" that avoid being detected by the Yahoo bots.
So far, he is operating with impunity but HE MUST BE FOUND AND STOPPED!
Yahoo is the mad spammer.
Happy now ?
This same stuff was happening on the Dodgers boards last year, right around the time the Dodgers clinched the NL West. In that case, it was a multi-account Giants troll making the legitimate comments disappear, since he made threats to that effect. Since the Red Sox have an upcoming series with the Giants, it's likely the same person is your mad spammer. Yahoo is well aware of who this guy is, and he has lost multiple accounts, but they just let him start up again with a new one. I guess the idiots have finally ruined it for the rest of us, as the new Yahoo sports format doesn't allow fan comments.

I just wish it would stop. I've added so much positive to the commentary which ends up flagged in the end and removed when it's all about baseball.

Yahoo did nothing about the Mad Spammer because he is still doing it.
I got my wish . . . Yahoo wiped out the Mad Spammer . . . they also screwed up the sports (in particular baseball) layouts to where they are awful AND no longer have a comments section.
I don't really feel like using Yahoo anymore.
Mad Spammer, from the end of the Sunday afternoon games through Monday evening (on the Tuesday night game comments pages for both the Red Sox and the Yankees . . . Monday was an off day for both teams), completely obliterated all "real" comments and spammed both boards with hundreds of his nonsense alpha/numeric posts.
He literally took over both boards and allowed nobody's post to remain up for long.
Yahoo MUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS . . . OR . . . SHUT THE **** COMMENTS BOARDS DOWN altogether.
So long as this maniac is allowed to run free, they are totally useless to real baseball fans.
Please encourage other posters on your board to flag for abuse and add to the dialog here.
Mad Spammer completely out of control today with (literally) hundreds of nonsense alpha/numeric posts on both the (share) Red Sox and Yankees boards . . . and, it's an off day for both teams!
Yahoo appeared to have curtailed his activities over the weekend but he's back in full force with a vengeance today.
Totally ruining the board for real baseball fans who only want to chat about their sport.
Yahoo appears to be understaffed to police the situation and does not seem to know how (or want to) to fix the flaws in the comments boards that allow "bad guys" to exploit the place . . . they are cyber terrorists of sorts.
I don't want to give up the fight but I am truly exasperated.
I've seen a lot of posts that will make you think Yahoo allows this type of stuff regardless of the guidelines. I understand reporting or flagging a post is an option but most of time the comments don't get removed unless multiple users flag them which can take minutes to hours. The boards are ruined for the time being. No one can chat about the games being played without someone just flagging them with using multiple ID's. This is another flaw that Yahoo gave to everyone. You should not be able to create multiple ID's. In the profile section you sign up with a valid phone number. That phone number becomes registered so if another account is setup with that same phone number the account gets denied access to Yahoo period.
Look into the Giants and Dodgers message boards Yahoo. The posters over there are responsible for the mess on most Yahoo message boards. The filth that is allowed on those boards will give you a good hint who is behind the trolling that goes on most message boards. I'm talking sexist, racist, to all of the above. Some people need some serious help.
Yahoo, the spammers on the Red Sox shared message board has gotten out of hand. All baseball related comments are being removed and the person reporting them is bragging about it. Not only are they bragging about it they are encouraging others to report all posts by Red Sox fans. It's understood to report a comment when a user is not posting with in the TOS guidelines but the issue is people posting with in the guidelines are having their posts or comments removed. One user in particular who runs insane on the Yahoo message boards is the user Bendgod from the LA Dodger shared message board. He post comments everyday and trolls just about every message board with tens to hundreds of Yahoo accounts. Another Yahoo account is a fan from the Yankee shared message board who is not exactly identified with the exception of the trolling accounts not the primary account. Yahoo should remove the option to manage other accounts and only have the option to log in one user at a time without managing others. One user should not be able to manage multiple accounts as it has enabled the trolls to gain a severe advantage in trolling when trolling is against the TOS guidelines.
Completely agreed. I've had over a dozen baseball related topics deleted on a baseball thread. All comments were within Yahoo TOS guidelines. And also, I've seen dozens of other posters who are simply conversing about baseball on a baseball thread, get deleted too. Please check into this Yahoo!
Mad spammer still running wild on both Red Sox and Yankees (shared) comments boards. In addition to nonsense alpha/numeric spam "comments" he also abuses the Yahoo flag/abuse system and has had almost all other legitimate posters' comments deleted.
THIS MUST STOP . . . and only Yahoo can prevent this!
Yahoo continues to ignore this problem. Not good for business!

Yahoo should get rid of the abuse option immediately. Your automatic removal of a thread because someone reports it as an abuse gives a real abuser of the system an open field to remove a valid poster from the board. Remove the option until you can come up with something else.
Mad spammer now bragging on (shared) Yankees comments board that comments on (shared) Red Sox board are disappearing.
Brazen flaunting of flaws in Yahoo flag/abuse and allowing multiple accounts systems.
I wonder if Yahoo will ever do anything about this?
Mad spammer still running unabated on Red Sox and Yankees (shared) comments boards . . . using multiple accounts, some of which are are copies of real posters' handles . . . only difference (to the eye) is the color of the avatar and, of course, the content of the comment.
Yahoo continues to do nothing . . .
It's not yet 8 p.m. and the mad spammer has added nearly 300 nonsense spam posts to the shared Red Sox/Yankees sports comments board. He is running wild . . . unabated . . . plus direct personal attacks on many real baseball fans.
Also, he has more than a dozen accounts and is using them to exploit the flaw in the Yahoo flag/abuse system in order to delete real posters comments that call him out.
SOMETHING MUST BE DONE BY YAHOO!!!!!
The mad bomber/spammer put up more than 100 posts JUST THIS MORNING on the shared Red Sox/Yankees comments board.
Yahoo has a serious flaw in its flag/abuse system that NEEDS TO BE FIXED immediately!
Spammer still running wild on Yankees and Red Sox comments boards. Yahoo appears to be doing nothing.
