Cash tracking and transactions
Support CASH transactions and balances and then buy/sell transactions with trade fee for portfolios. This will allow customers to have a more accurate representation of their gains/losses.

On the portfolio page, there is an option to enter lots or shares purchased but not to enter lots or shares sold. When will Yahoo add this basic feature to the portolio page?

Using "$$_" format in portfolios for custom equities/cash does not work, there is "pick-up data" carried from nearby equity listings when i do that. have tried 5 times with different titles (was trying to add cash amount to portfolios)

It would be nice if there was an option to add a sell to your portfolio. Rather than adjusting lot numbers.

As others have mentioned, it would be great if users had the capability to hide certain stocks within their portfolio if it is a company that they have sold out of entirely. I would like to have Yahoo Finance keep track of buy/sell information for each stock, but if I sell completely out of a stock, I would like to have the option to hide this from my active portfolio so that I do not have to keep scrolling when 10% of the stocks are no longer active. Please consider adding this feature in the near future, thanks!

When you sell a ticker, track average cost & exit when you sell to keep track on how much you lost/gain for each individual stock. Add the sold tickers automatically to the "Sold" portfolio.

Hi, team. I have been using Yahoo Finance portfolio for a while, and I like the way you make it so much. However, there are a few missing items which I believe it would be good if you could add them up. In the view section of portfolio, Can you add up items, such as Cash, Debt, Debt ratio, Return Of Asset, and Returns Of Equity, in there?
Kind regards,

For Yahoo Finance Premium, entering stock lots is very straightforward, but there should also be an easy way to enter stock sales.

There is no function to enter sold shares at My Portfolio at Yahoo Finance. Actually this is would be a delightful addition to what otherwise an excellent piece of art here.

It's really crazy that this stuff is so hard.. or not at least documented.
I sold a partial position... I am able to enter negative quantity and the (positive) execution price. But the total % gain on the remaining position is fubar (should be +175.74 but is displaying -3,112.15%).Is it asking a lot to allow for correct tracking long sales (or short buybacks)? It seems absurd that this kind of issue comes up after so many years. Thank you.

Currently, when we sold entire lot of a company in our portfolio, the holdings figure become ZERO and Total Gain/Loss is shown. However, due to multiple companies invested over a period of time I am now having too many entries with ZERO holdings visible in the portfolio.
I don't want to delete those companies as they still show how much I lost/gain with my investments in stock markets. Something really useful.
Can we introduce a HIDE button for zero holdings? That'll trim the visible portfolio with active holdings only but still the gain/loss of previously sold shares will remain part of overall portfolio calculations and also available if someone wants a more detailed view of investments of the past.

add a portfolio running balance. So I can see what my portfolio balance was a year or a month ago. It would be great if there was a cash balance too that you could essentially add to and run off so you can also see how you are doing overall ie when you sell etc and not just remove the stock you sold at a profit or loss. price alerts again are also a must because they are VERY VERY useful. Thanks

Under Yahoo Finance App, under Portfolio, you can add Custom Field prefix with '$$', for example $$CASH as 100, once added it will show $100 under Shares and Market Value column. It will also increase your Portfolio value by $100, however your returns calculation like day gain or total gain % will always exclude the Custom Field ($$CASH, $100), that is the correct calculation. Do we have any option to add Custom Filed for e.g. Booked Profit or Booked Loss which will add/subtract to your Total Return, because once you sold the shares you have no option to track booked profit or loss in your portfolio.

Have ir so you can show shares sold short as a negative number ie a minus sign before the number of shares. It Rea is incorrect to Mae so a short position is shown as a positive number.
