Remove the hashtag # feature commonly abused by spammers for Yahoo Finance message boards.
I keep seeing this hashtag feature get abused by spammers over and over again. I rarely see any legitimate use out of this feature. Why make it easy for spammers to push their spam across many different message boards? This feature is getting abused by spammers at an increasing frequency as they discover this feature and realize just how easy it is to get visibility for their spam posts with it.

I would actually like to see Yahoo put in some kind of approval process before new users can access the message boards. It will greatly help control the spam.

This feature was always designed for spammers. What is the point of this feature if it wasn't used to 'market' a post across 50 message boards?

I see so much spam in Yahoo conversations. This hashtag feature is 100% a contributor. If you think this through, why would any ordinary user need to post the same message across 10+ message boards in the first place?

The hashtag function is definitely an outdated relic that causes more harm than good. I've only seen spammers use it these days.
